We're at WDW April 28-May 5. In order to ride Malstrom, we will have to go to EPCOT on April 29 for rope drop ride it a few times then head over to MK for ressies with Cindy at 12:00. What will be the fastest way to get back to MK?

The fastest way is the monorail, but WS isn't open at EPCOT opening, so I don't think you could ride Malestrom at 11 and get to Cindy's at 12 - if there's a monorail malfunction or a Malestrom malfunction, you've missed lunch.

Yeah, I pretty much think it's impossible to do. The world showcase doesn't open till 11 and by the time you rode the ride (even if you are first) and then walked back up front, rode the monorail, got into MK (with a bag search too, which can take a while) I think you would never make it in an hour. I think the monorail would be the fastest too, but I think that ride is 15-20 minutes itself.
Also, that ride is due to be closed soon and renovated or something. Not sure when, but you might want to check that out too. I thouhgt it was coming up pretty soon.

I think I read 4/30 which would explain why ballarinamom needs to ride it 4/29! Hopefully they can do MK first, maybe take a break midday and go to Epcot later?

If you want the hypothetical quickest way, I think it would involve driving and parking your car at the Contemporary Resort lot. No way would the monorail be the quickest way. I also think it would take a little bit of jogging. I think it could be done with the right conditions.

Thanks for all of the input. We've tweaked our plans once again! We get in early on April 28th- Grad Night at MK. We have ARDs at Crystal Palace at 5:10. After dinner, we will head to EPCOT to ride Maelstrom and hopefully a few other rides. Maelstrom is scheduled to close on April 30th so that looks like my only option. Again, thanks to all!
