Fastasmic/Fireworks!

Okay, I had given up on Fantasmic on a Friday nite in October... and now it seems they will be showing it!! Woohoo!! Except... how long is it? I know I read that when they had the balcony seating that you could watch fantasmic and then stay and see the fireworks from the same place? Is that going to still be possible from the other reserved seating? Or should we plan on a really late night with fireworks at 9:25 and fantasmic at 10:30?? I don't think dd (3) will make it that long!! 10-10:15 is usually about her max...

Fantasmic is about 22 minutes long. You can see the fireworks from the Rivers of America, but it is really not the same at all. If you think you can do it, try to do the 10:30 Fantasmic...though I know it's tough with a little one!

Are you going to be in a hotel nearby? Try taking a break late in the afternoon for a nap and dinner, and maybe your little one will be able to stay up late enough?

We are staying at DLH, and plan on a 2 hour + nap each day (just like at home...) Dinner for that night is supposed to be Steakhouse 55 at 5:40 pm, then we were going to go over and ride some rides and wait for fireworks... but now I have the Fantasmic option!! Maybe she'd be so excited by the fireworks that she'd stay awake for fantasmic... I had planned on doing the reserved seatingto get a better view and not have to camp out for good seats (not fun with a little one!!!) I really want to see both... hmmmm!

That sounds like a good plan, assuming you can shell out the extra 60 or so bucks a person for guaranteed seats and a small dessert box. For the fireworks, the best place to see them is the middle of the hub, in front of the castle, but you have to stand during the whole thing and you have to stake out seats at least 60 minutes early. If you want to sit and have pretty good seats, try a Main Street Hub bench, but you may have to get there just as early.

And if the little one fell asleep in the seat during Fantasmic it wouldn't be the end of the world. You could hand there while everyone else is filing out, then carry your sleepy little bundle out of the park withut the heavy crowds.
