fast pass

Some time ago I thought I read that the fast pass for Haunted Mansion was not connected to the rest of the system and therefore it was possibje to get a fast pass for the Mansion AND another attraction fast pass. Does anyone know if this is true? We are leaving for Orlando in 2 weeks and from what I gather reading these threads we will need all the help we can get with the crowds at Christmas.

I'm not saying it couldn't be true but I don't remember being able to do that on our trips.

In October and November, I got fastpasses on Haunted Mansion and attempted to get a fastpass on PeterPan's Flight and the note from the machine said I already had a fastpass and would have to wait (the wait was two hours at that time). So IMO the Haunted Mansion is hooked up into the rest of the system.
