Well after 4 years, an aborted trip due to a pregnancy followed by severe depression after losing the baby at 20 weeks, we are finally headed back to the World. I have not been following DB for the last 2 years due to the depression/working. I feel TOTALLY lost now that we're planning this trip! My kids are beyond excited especially since we let them in on the secret this past weekend that it wasn't just an "us" trip. They get the spend the week with the cousin they adore beyond reason and their favorite aunt, uncle and grandparents (okay, so I'M a little biased since they're mine!)
Anyway - our FP window opens up in a couple of weeks and I'm starting to try and rough out a plan. We'll have two MK park days and one at each of the others. Park days are 11/20 through 11/25.
Important group info -
Party of 10 (6 adults, 4 kids ... think we've got enough coverage?
We do know that my dad will be assigned as one of the extra adults and not directly responsible for a kid each day b/c he lost my daughter/let her get into situations she shouldn't have EVERY single time he was her adult when we went last ... but we laugh now!)
Kids are 11, 9, 8 and 7. Most of them are willing to ride just about every ride. The 7 year old is almost as tall as the 8 year old and she is the most dare devil of them all. Last time we were there she was just over 3 and started signing the Baby Swap Blues since she kept getting left behind on the big rides. Youngest is also the only girl in the family and will need some princess time.
Grandparents will be turning 70 right at the time of the trip. Grandpa is totally mobile and will ride most rides. Grandma is a coach potato who doesn't ride most of the high adventure rides but will ride things like Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion etc. We may be renting a scooter for Grandma b/c we're not sure she can hack the walking that is required.
Adults are all on the fluffy side but have never run into rides at Disney that were a problem.
Can anybody give me some insight as to where to start booking? I know we can book 3/day ... right?
