What tips do you have for fast pass strategies? Sometimes you can have more than one, sometimes not, some rides allow a second, some don't?? any of that correct or not?? how do you get them for your party??? thanks for anyone out there who can help!! :smooth: :3dglasses

Usually we have one person run ahead to the designated fast pass ride and get the passes (don't forget to retreive all regular passes after placing them in machine.) Then we do something else or wait in line for another ride.

The time on the bottom of the fast pass will tell you when you can get another. Last time I was there in Sept. it was 5mins after the fast pass started...so it varies you have to watch the pass.

I have never been able to ride twice on a fast pass and have used them since the begining.

The fast pass can be gotten for one ride per pass at a time. There will be a time printed on the bottom telling you when you can get another fastpass. The window for that time is usually 1 to 2 hours. After your window is up, you may get another fastpass for what ever ride you want. There will also be the other time frame window printed on your pass, that is the return time to enter the attraction. Sometimes you can get another FP before that window is open, other times you cannot, it all depends on how busy the parks are. There are also times that Disney will surprise you & give you a second FP to a different ride (attached to) in addition to the one you got the FP for. EPCOT does this with TT, they will give a bounus FP for Honey I Shrunk the Audiance.

Get a fast pass for something as soon as you enter the park.

In the morning the time before next fast pass is generally shorter because the come back time is sooner.

Near opening time the standby waits tend to be shorter because there are fewer matured fast passes in the hands of guests.

If the standby wait is relatively short, sometimes the system will let you get a fast pass for that particular ride before the time allowed as shown on an unused fast pass you already have. This is worth trial and error for when an hour has passed since you got your last fast pass. But if you are denied, the system will parrot the next fast pass time on your last fast pass instead of give you an exact time you can try again for that ride.

You can get a Lights Motors fast pass (MGM Studios) as little as about 10 minutes before or after you got another fast pass.

Just keep in mind that if you get a fastpass at 9 am in the Magic Kingdom, the earliest return time will be 9:45 (and 9:50 before you can get another fastpass)...it could even be later (ours was 10 at Space Mountain this past week). After that, fastpass return times will vary according to how busy the stand-by line is and how many fastpasses have been distributed for that ride. On Saturday, the 21st, Peter Pan had a stand-by wait time listed as 50 minutes but the fast pass return time was 2 hours away.

Also, make sure you get Soarin' fastpasses ASAP. You will not believe the amount of people that go there first thing in the morning and throughout the day - even in slow season waits were over 90 minutes in early afternoon in the stand-by line.

If possible, get a second fast pass before you use the first FP. This way, you are eating into your second fast pass wait time while you use the first. Let me explain this with an example:

1st fast pass for Space Mountain says:
-Return 10:10-11:40
-Next FP available at 10:15

Grab a fast pass around 10:20 for your next ride (say Buzz) BEFORE you enter the FP line for Space Mountain. This way, by the time you exit SM, a bunch of wait time for the second FP has gone by.

This is exactly what we do... We always have at least one fastpass and try to have 2, at least for a short time. For Soarin, we get to Epcot a few minutes before opening, head straight to Soarin, grab a fastpass, ride Soarin, head over to TT and ride in the standby line, usually only a 15 minute wait that early. Then we head back to Soarin and ride again, or if it's too early, we head next door to The Living Seas and Crush, then back to Soarin. I REALLY love Soarin, could you tell???

EXACTLY!!!

This is the smartest, most efficient way to use the FastPass system.
