SO I am trying to plan out Fast Passes for our trip... We have 3 kids 7,5 & 3... Our youngest is only 36 inches and won't be able to ride some of the rides we want to Fast Pass... Can I get 3 passes at 1 attraction and 2 passes for another during the same time period so my youngest has something to do instead of wait since she is going to sad enough not being able to do the bigger rides and then get a rider swap since she isn't tall enough for me to ride with bigger kids? Or do we have to stay with them in the line to get the rider swap pass?

Hope that isn't to confusing... Thanks for any suggestions...

I have the same question. I hope someone that has experience answer this.

My experience whilst here over the past 2 weeks is that it depends on the cm. We did this on hollywood tower with no issues but space mountain we were told all parties need a fp+ to enable child swap. After 5 mins discussing we gave up and did not ride. I won't waste a fp for my 4 yo who won't use it.
Don't count on it. It depends on the cm at the time.

Counting down to 14th May!

We only have 2, an Infant and a 48"er, so I'll tell you my experience this week and what I would do. We got FPs for all the same rides, but only the parent who went first would end up using their MB, the 2nd would use the parent swap ticket. I did usually try to scan mine if I went second, because I learned early on that it would cause issues when we went to get our fourth if it showed unused FP's. However, when I did that, they often ignored me and I occasionally left with a paper FP souvenir. (NOT intentionally, and we didn't use more than allotted, so don't flame me! But when standing with your excited toddler it's probably not uncommon for it to happen, we would realize it at the end of the day when emptying pockets).

Quick thing about the parent swaps before I make my suggestion for how I would do it with more than one child- they expire at the end of the month, not the end of the day. So you could do it one of two ways:

1 parent do 3 rides with the youngest, parent 2 gets FP for the thrill rides (maybe make 1 for the whole family depending on the park). Then use the swap ticket for parent 1 while parent 2 does SB or 4th FP with youngest.

Or you could do multiple thrill rides each and do SB on the smaller rides - if you go to Epcot, you would want to do that so everyone can ride Soarin and TT. The little kid rides don't get as backed up, other than MK.

Does that make sense? For us, we didn't want to split up and have one of us need to ride alone, so it made more sense to just do the same FPs. But with more than one older kid, it makes perfect sense to make two different sets of plans and utilize parent swap! Next time when the baby is older, we will probably feel the need to do a few FPs for his benefit, so I would imagine you would definitely need to with an older toddler!

Man, I thought this had finally stopped happening...

Alas, there ARE CMs who seem to think that the whole party needs FP+ if anyone is going to use it on the first pass.

In reality, there is NO policy for CMs to follow on this. It is NOT a requirement. However you'll never be able to convince a CM they are wrong about it, either.

Still, it's a rare occurrence.
