reposted, due to lack of response?

You can use the FP runner the same way, the only problem might be if the return window is to close for both fp's. It can be difficult if the fp return time is also close to the fp pick up time. Then you will have to find something to do closeby as to not miss your return. I LOVE planning, I am TOTALLY DOCD (Disney ocd) but also like the planning to be fun and use it as a guide. The enforcement of FP times does add stress when you are actually on a ride that has stopeed (which did happen to us lst trip) so the ride becomes less enjoyable. ANd when you are not good of keeping track of small time frames, so you are constatnly looking at you watch, also making it seem to go slower (a watched kettle never boils)
Good luck, just knowing and being prepared are 1/2 the battle!! :goodvibes

Just curious, how is it saving you $400-$500 per day? In two table service meals? They cost that much? Or was this a joke?

Thanks.

Fo me it may even save more. When we were there last week, when the new enforecment of FP times was in plan, it really was stressful. We were a group of 11 from 6 to 49 yo. It made me realize that for our family of 4 would be better served using the QS dining plan. Next trip in Sept we are booked for a monderate (free table service dining) if we cut out the mod and go with a value we will save on our resort. The poster may be saving per day on paying for the dining plan out of pocket for a family.

We were at Epcot on Sat April 14th to get our ride in before it closed. It was open for the last or next to last day. It closed on either the 15th or 16th.

I was surprised, as was the hotel supervisor that I talked to about how the crowd for the previous wee was smaller than he or I expected. To be honest. to me the crowd seemed smaller than when we go end Sept bewgining of Oct. It was a pleasant surprise :)

Appys, entrees, desserts and cocktails...for a party of 5, can easily run that much. Unfortunately, prices have increased dramatically, over the last couple of years.

It's not a joke and it's not funny.

I'll tell you that stories like this just make me feel like Einstein. I wouldn't even consider paying that much money for a mediocre meal from anybody. It makes me so glad that I can, without guilt, stay off-site and eat in the, literally, thousands of restaurants out there for a fifth of that cost and without sacrificing anything in the line of quality. Thanks for validifying my choices. Apparently, it costs a lot to hang out with a mouse.

The quality and choice was much better, during the Eisner years. The prices were more realistic too. Now, they've reached the point of absurdity.

What's even more ridiculous, now I'm making a choice..between FP and TS. What is the World coming to? :upsidedow

I like it because it's a source of great chaos on the DIS.:furious:

Walt Disney World to test new FastPass+ system
by Leah Zanolla
Apr 30, 2012

Select Walt Disney World guests will be part of a test for "FastPass+", part of the upcoming NextGen initiative. Disney's new system will allow guests to make reservations for ride times before they even begin their vacation. For the first two weeks in May, select guests staying at Disney resorts will be contacted by Disney detailing how to set up a FastPass+ itinerary. The guests will receive a FastPass device (rumors are that it could be either a card or a wristband) equipped with RFID technology that will be swiped near the attractions. The card readers are already in place at the Magic Kingdom, having been installed over the last week. They have been seen at all current FastPass rides, plus a few other attractions. The guests will use the emailed itinerary to plan their theme park day; the card is only valid for the date(s) in the email. As is the policy with normal FastPasses, guests must return within the return time window indicated on their itinerary.

So they are testing a new system for WDW resort guests. When fully implemented, does this mean that ONLY resort guests will be able to use it, which will leave all non-resort people waiting in the regular line? Is this a way to get people to stay on-site?

Hmmm...so our "speculation" is becoming reality? :cool2:

FP enforcement sucked for touring over spring break. Way too much criss crossing and ride skipping for fear est. Wait times were wrong/off and we would be late for fp use. Sooooo based on that perhaps the reservations of times could result in less x-crossing as u could plan headliners in all lands far enough apart to reduce walking...

That said, I dislike that rumors have this pass as an additional cost for deluxe guests only... and the vip seating for parades if u can afford it is also not my fave... a caste system for your "in the park guests" is a very bad move and so undisney IMO. Shouldn't rides and shows be for all who paid admission?? Not just the wealthiest guests?
