Ok I know this question has been done a million times and I did read the link at the top of this board...but I still have a question  .

Ok so some rides systems are connected and some are not...SO...if I understand correctly Indiana Jones IS connected..so does that mean I can have a fast pass for that ride AS WELL AS one or more FP for any of the rides that are NOT connected???
OR does it mean that if I have one for Indy I wont be able to get one for any others rides at the same time?

I just dont want to mess this up, b/c we will be there at a busy time and this mutliple FP thing might be our ticket to lots of rides and keeping our sanity!!!

ALSO...how will the fast pass machine for TOT at DCA fit into this scheme??

Thanks guys!

Yes, you can hold a fast pass for the connected ride as well as one of each of the unconnected rides at the same time.

But big hint - Matterhorn is NOT on fastpass. Go as early as you can.

Maci:

The fastpasses at DL are on a completely separate system than the ones at DCA.

Further, it is my understanding that not all of the fastpasses in the parks are connected even to each other.

And, your fast pass will show a one hour window of time, i.e., 10:00 to 11:00. But, you can return any time after 10:00. So, essentially, you could hold a fast pass to every fast pass ride in the two parks at the same time. Fun, huh?

14 more days until WDW :Pinkbounc

Ok, so what if you forget which ones are connected and accidently put your ticket in to get another fast pass at a networked machine....does it just say you cant get a fast pass right now or something?

This seems like a silly question, but I was just curious???

^Yep, you get a Fastpass that says that it's invalid.

Same thing happens if you try to get one too soon - it just says invalid and you have to wait for the time to change.

Could someone explain "some ride systems are connected and some are not" I've never heard of that.

<font color=navy>Many rides at Disneyland that have Fastpass are networked together so that when you get a Fastpass, you either have to wait until the time to return to get another, or you can get another one after a specified time (2 hours or something like that).

There are some rides that are "standalone" where the ride has Fastpass, but you can be holding a Fastpass in your hand, and then go get another one right away.

For instance, let's say you get in the park and get a Fastpass for Splash Mountain (because they seem to go a lot quicker than the other ones), and then you go to Indiana Jones, and try to get a Fastpass. The machine will kick out a ticket that says 'invalid' because the wait time between Fastpasses has not elapsed yet. However, if you go to Pirates of the Caribbean and try to get a Fastpass, you'll get one right away because that machine is not networked to the other ones in the park.

Also, the Fastpass rides at Disneyland and California Adventure are on separate systems, so you could get a Fastpass at Indiana Jones, and then go to DCA and grab one for Soaring Over California.

You can solve this whole problem by just purchasing your tickets through AAA which gets you unlimited FASTPASS tickets (plus you get free parking every day).

How does this work...are your tickets encoded with something that says there from AAA? This is a great feature if true.

<font color=navy>I believe (though I haven't verified it) that you can get these multi-Fastpasses through AAA when you book a package through them - not when you buy the hoppers alone.

Yes, the package (at least room and tickets) must be booked through AAA. In addition, you must stay at one of the DLR hotels (Disneyland Hotel, Grand Californian, Paradise Pier). The Good Neighbor hotels do not qualify for this deal.

We've bought just the park tickets from AAA and still had the multiple fast pass on it (this was at Xmas time, we'll be back again next month and test it then).

The AAA tickets (you get them right at your local AAA office) have on them that they are AAA tickets (the small print on the backside) and has listed on that small print that you get free parking in the Mickey structure as well as the MultiFastPass. The tickets are slightly cheaper than gate prices as well.

Forgot to add, that I KNOW you get it on just the ticket purchase as at Xmas we bought the "last minute deal" through Travelocity for our family and met other family down there...they bought their tickets only at AAA office in SanFran, had the free parking and THEY had multiple fast passes (we didn't, but we had $10 at ESPN zone and they didn't). FYI..worked GREAT in combo w/a childswap on the larger rides (we had preschooler with who couldn't ride some of those).

Since you purchased the tickets in 2003, they still had the feature of the "enhanced" FastPass. Starting in 2004, this changed to AAA booked trips to one of the DLR hotels only.
