Fast Pass Question

This was probably asked before but I couldn't find anything.

I was on EBay & saw a number of sellers of Fast Pass's that supposedly have no expiration dates. Is this legit?:confused3 I did notice that the sellers were selling a envelope & were giving the Fast Pass for free, must be a legal ploy. Has anyone done this:confused:

I don't know about the whole E-bay thing...but I do know that there are FastPasses that don't have to be used on the day they're received. Last May, while waiting for Spectromagic to begin, DS9 struck up a conversation with a very nice CM & told him how he couldn't wait to ride Splash Mountain during this trip. Well, the CM then gave our entire family Fastpasses that were good for any ride, with an expiration date of July 30 (or 31st). We ended up not using them during our May trip & used them during our summer trip.

(The Fastpasses were a little different looking than regular FP...printed on slightly better-quality paper).

Anything like that on Ebay is not legit and while there may or may not be any Florida law that says they can or can't (and I am thinking there isn't as if there were ebay would be pulling the ads off as fast as they would go up) WDW reserves the right not to honor said FP if obtained in a way dissimilar to their intended purpose - i.e. a VIP CM FP in the hands of a non-CM. Never mind that FP are FREE with park admission. I do not doubt that WDW could and maybe would eject you from the park for trying to use them. Is that something you want to risk money on? And why waste money on something that is FREE?

And yes the sale of the envelope is a ploy so they can say 'no sir, we only sold them the envelope. As a nice guy I included the FP'.

Thanks for the info. Your probably right about being ejected:scared1: . Not worth the risk.

Yes, you are right. We got some of these on our last trip exiting HM...there was a CM standing there handing them out.:confused3 We also got a set from a Dream Squad member AND these are what we got when we found a paintbrush last time. The expiration date was months off.

How would WDW even know how you obtained them?:confused3

(CM passes being used by a CM would be an obvious, but the others w/ no date...?)

NOT that I am condoning it, just making a point.

They also could be counterfeit - someone printed on their laser printer to make a buck. Apparently, WDW is checking a lot more closely for counterfeits now.

My honest opinion (and I live with a man who has a side job on ebay and it's his feeling as well) is that if you want to pay for something that is free, there's nothing stopping you from doing that.

However, from a Disney fan point of view, this just taints it for all of us. These Fastpasses were given out for whatever reason. And intended for use of that party only. I don't know anyone personally who has sold these passes on ebay but if I did, I'd lose all respect for that person.

As you know, FPs are free in the park and if you have a plan not having fast passes for some rides is easily manageable, there's no reason to have to buy extra ones. Like others have said, the FPs could be rejected for a number of reasons so it isn't worth risking your money/time with Ebay.

Hmmm...so does that mean that if the 'intended party' decides on to use their FPs then they should throw them away?:confused3

I would NEVER buy a white envelope from someone on ebay. WAY to big of a risk and the whole "white envelope" thing just speaks volumes to me about the integrity of the seller.
