They've done some test runs with the Fastpass+ but they are not available to the general public yet. From what I've read they would randomly choose people who were arriving via Magical Express before their trip began.
There is no official word from Disney when this program will be rolling out.
I have a feeling it will be soon, with the new website and the 60 day online check in ..it may be done all at once when you do online check in. I could be wrong My 60 day is coming up on Jan 11. So it would be nice if it was up and running by then.
It's a new version of FastPass that Disney is working on. PastPass+ once rolled out will allow you to pre-book return times for select attractions, parades, etc. at (I believe) 60 days when the new on-line check-in window begins. FastPass+ will be tied to your KTTW cards (possibly MYW tickets or APs if day visit). When you get to the attraction, there will be a new RFID scanner with a Mickey logo that you will touch your KTTW card to that will verify your FastPass+ return time.
60 day online check in wow! I had not heard that part of it yet. So if the two are tied together then I think planning these details 2 months prior is reasonable.. On some of the other fast pass plus threads people made it seem like you need to plan it all out 6 months prior which really only works for people who make ADR's for most of their trip. My family sticks with just our top 3 meals at restaurants.
