Fast Pass Plus availability at 30 day mark during Thanksgiving

We are planning a trip this Thanksgiving week and I am very concerned about the availability of Fast Pass Plus reservations at the 30 day mark. We are not staying at a Disney Resort and when we hit our 180 day mark I had a lot of difficulty getting the dining reservations I was hoping for. I would love some strategies on how best to tour the park with a couple of teenagers who want to hit the more popular rides. I have read that many times the popular rides do not have any availability at the 30 day mark. I am definitely a rope drop person but I'm still worried sick about this. This is also my first trip at holiday time. Any thoughts?

I have read that many times the popular rides do not have any availability at the 30 day mark.

Actually, only a few attractions should not have any FP+ availability at the 30-day (and later) mark.
But, it will be more difficult during busy holiday times.

During the busiest of times at WDW, arriving very early in the mornings will be your best bet.
