I am correct in thinking that if you have a morning F/P unused you could go rest then come back and use it that evening?

I have heard mixed things on this. I think the "official" policy is that is expires and that you can't use it. However, I have heard where they sometimes let you on, so I guess it all depends. I do know that when rides close for any reason during the day, the definately honor the fast passes for those times later on. We experienced this at Test Track. The Fast pass lines were soooo long and the CM said it was because the ride had been closed and they were honoring all of the expired Fast passes also.

The fast pass is for a particular window of time. It will tell you to come back between two times to ride. If you miss the time, they shouldn't let you on.

I think that you should never plan on being able to use an expired fastpass. If they let you, you should consider yourself lucky.

I have had very few problems using a FP after the time window. Even a morning FP in the evening.

We've never had a problem using a fast pass after its expired time. Sometimes we get caught or something unexpected happens and we end up using it later. CM's have never had a problem with it.

Samsma, you have a pretty good chance of it being honored, even if the return time has passed. In our testing earlier this year, we were let on the ride with an expired FASTPASS something like 90% of the time.

When we checked with Disney about their policy on expired FASTPASSes, they replied something like "Disney's official policy is to ask guests to return during the time shown on the FASTPASS." Doesn't say exactly what happens if you don't return, and I think in practice most CMs are pretty flexible about it.

So if you're willing to take a small risk, yes, they should be honored.

Hope this helps.

I'm not fighting anyone here (and maybe it's just the curmudgeon in me coming out), but what the point of the FastPass time frame if you're not going to use it in the time frame? I'm sure that Disney has it statistically figured out to allow a certain amount of Fastpassers in per hour...so wouldn't coming later screw up the system?

Now, I'm not blaming anyone that comes after the time frame. If Disney lets you do it, why wouldn't you. I guess my slight displeasure comes from the fact that Disney lets you do this in the first place.

If a problem developed with too many people using fast passes after the expiration times some changes will be made. But there are also people who get fast passes and never show up to use them. This latter is more likely to occur if the ride is busy and fast passes are issued with the come back time way off in the future.

We tried to use them a couple times after and they were not happy at all. One sort of grudgingly let us in after chewing us out about it and one turned us away flat, saying that they're only good during the time on the ticket. :(

We decided we'd just stick to the times it said.

We went on the Keys to the Kingdom tour and they mentioned that although the time on your fastpass might expire, they are still good for the day...

Don't take my word for this though...If you show up on a really busy day the fastpass ppl may not let you on past your time.

We've sometimes got delayed and missed a fast pass time by a few minutes, it's never been a problem. I think showing up hours later is pushing it.

Thank you for all the mixed responses. :goodvibes :confused3 Anyway, I was referring to Test Track, and if I get a FP before we leave the park around 11:00, there is a good chance it won't be any good until 5 or 6 anyway being 4th of July week. I guess I will check it out and let you know later how it worked out.

We just returned on Thursday from our trip and we used a few "expired" fast passes with absolutely no problem. It seemed like the times of the fast pass were so close to our priority seatings (which sometimes ran longer then expected) or our ds4 & dd4 needed a break and we missed our times. When we returned, I even pointed out to the CM's that we were late, and they were all very understanding. This was at MK. One even told me that they will honor fast passes after the time as long as it was on the same day. She said that some people will try to use one from a previous day and they will not take those at all. So I guess it depends on perhaps the park or the CM.

I know some of the posts above don't think this is right, but we asked and they said no problem, so we used them - why wouldn't we, especially with 3 children ages 9, 4, 4. Maybe they felt sorry for us when they heard our complaining twins :confused3?

twinmommyks- I think you should get front of the line priviledges and free snacks with complaining twins!!! :rotfl:

samsma - How kind of you to say that - you must have seen my twins :rotfl:.

I think anyone around our family is more than willing to get us through the line and out of there as soon as possible!!!!! I think people on the bus were wishing they had ear plugs, literally. My ds4 asked what if and why questions the entire way from AKL to MK. Some people smiled at us :) and some people did not :confused3. We, however, just smile and have gotten used to being stared at. Our twins are very social, very outgoing, very talkative, and when tired, very fussy, so whether they are in a good mood or bad mood, we attract lots of attention and a CM with a expired fast pass from our family won't care if it's expired or not, when our noisy family of 5 is standing there staring at her! :rotfl: If I were her, I'd want my family out of there quickly too!!!

We were there last week as well. We went to MK on June 21, and got fastpasses for Space mountain. One thing led to another, and we never made it on it. On June 22, we went to MK only at night. We took our fast passes up to Space Mountain, and asked the CM if we could use these. He said they are not suppose to let us, but he said it was ok, if it was ok with the lady further down the line. I think he was refering to the CM who was monitoring the line close to loading area. Nothing was said to us, and we all rode the ride, that was including a baby swap as well.

We used expired fastpasses twice on our last trip, without problem. One CM said "You're late" but that was it. We did this intentionally, after hearing from so many people that it is Disney's policy to let you use them.

It's good to know that you can use expired fast passes because you never know what will come up, especially traveling with small children. :flower: I'm sure everyone would like to get there on time but sometimes things happen you have no control over.
