I heard that somene got VIP fast passes for buying DVc on the Fantasy. anyone know the deal? Also, anyone heard of getting FP for buying DVC but not on a cruise. Lastly, what about an add-on? I am thinking of adding on this week and would love to ask for VIP FP, but don't want to sound obnoxious. Tx. Elaine

When my wife and I took the tour we received cards that you could use in the FP machines. They were good for 3 FP per person in our party. We didn't purchase DVC but still received this incentive, which we asked about ahead of time. I'm not sure if there is a standard offer based on whether or not you purchase...but I would definitely ask my salesperson ahead of time.

We did the tour last month and received 2 x $15 gift cards. The lady in the office looked at us and said, "I assume you don't want the fast passes, so I'll give you gift cards" :rotfl2: I would have told her old people do rides too, but we actually hadn't planned any park time.

I would ask for anything you can get. Disney is making money off of you so you should make something back. :goodvibes

Especially something that costs them virtually nothing, like Fastpass vouchers.

Last year 5/11 my DW and I took the tour and they gave us a $100 gift card. This year 5/12 they were only offering the 3 VIP FP.
I like last years better. :lmao::cool1::rotfl2:

We were on the Dream back in March, and they were offering 9 FP's in addition to other incentives if you added on there.

Someone who is reading this and planning on adding on, please push the limits. Please get the pen in your hand and say "I'm going to sign this contract, but only if you give me 50 Fastpasses". They cost them nothing, so what's the big deal. In fact, I think I just found what it would take to get me to buy direct! :)

What a great idea! I would do a direct add on for 50 FP's.

It's all about precedent and DVD ain't about to set that one. It's like a lot of other things. It sounds good but it won't work. Believe me, I'm as good of a face-on negotiator as you will find and I've tried varying tactics all along. DVD isn't like other timeshares. What their deal is, is what their deal is within some very SMALL boundries/gray areas. 50 FPs ain't gonna work. That's way outside the box.

We bought in recently in April onboard the Magic. We knew we were going to buy going into the seminar, but we sat through the whole thing for the "perks"...

They matched our points for this year, plus gave us 28 VIP FP with no expiration, and gave us nearly 3K off.

See...that's what I'm talking about. 28 Fastpasses. May I ask how you arrived at that number?

no negotiating needed, that was just what was offered if we bought before the second half of the cruise. THEN we stayed at WDW for a few days after debarking and were confused about the VIP Fastpasses so everytime we inquired how to use them, the CM just gave us a VIP FP from his pocket. I only discovered that they are cards that you have to physically pick up after we got home and I was perusing the boards. so i still have 28 VIP FP to use when we're back at AKL Kidani in January after our DVC cruise to CC. So many abbreviations, I feel like us Disney-ers talk in a different language... :rotfl:

Here is some info that you may find interesting. The purchase incentives have always been better from locations outside of WDW, any idea why?

According to my source, DVC has to justify the additional cost of selling at a remote site or during a cruise, they offer additional incentives to keep the sales numbers from those locations up.

DVD is billed for the fastpasses by Disney Parks and Resorts. The Guides are only given a limited number each month based on their prior sales. Remote locations don't have the same limits on fastpasses as the Guides at SSR.

they gave us 60 immediate use fast passes when we purchaed direct dring spring break. we rode TSM over and over until our arms fells off, peter pan 3 times in a row and no waits the entire trip. just ask, they did it for us. they said that was the max they could give us (2adults,1 2yo and 1 6yo).

edit: i would like to note that we purchased at SSR tour and we technically did not ask. i was getting annoyed at how the 90min tour was lasting well over 90min (our guide liked to talk) and when i went to change my son's diaper my wife told the guide i was annoyed and would like to hurry it along. when we ended up buying he hurried back with 20 cards with 3 fast passes each. we couldn't use them all so we ended up giving some away. made our trip really.

60 Fastpasses. You are my hero. :)

My sister got some fastpasses when they bought on WDW property. We bought over the phone and we were not offered the passes. I asked if we would get some fastpasses for purchasing and I was told that it is a thank you for giving up vacation time while traveling but that she would have some fastpasses for us at the hotel for our first stay. She even said how nice it will be since we are going at Christmas and we will need them...how right she is!

When we went in March we did the tour and bought in, it took about 3 hrs. I remember the guys saying we would get 3 fasspasses per person in our family (4) per park when we return for our next trip in July. Well, when we got home and read on the disboards that resale was a great way to go we canceled by the 10th day (the rep. was pretty mean on the phone ... he gave me some incorrect information and called me a vulture for praying off the misfortunes of others on the resale market.)
Our resale is now complete and we are still going in July (BCV/BWV for 10 nights.) Do we have to see our rep to get the fasspasses and are we still "entitled" to them ???
