Fast Pass+ Fantasmic seating vs. Fantasmic dining pack seating

When we went labor day weekend we were in Pochontas section and they did have a CM looking at bands before we went in. I guess anyone with a band could have went in. The seats were good and it was not crowded we went in about 20 minutes before time for the show. Right before the show started they let anyone in.

How early do you need to be there with dining package voucher? I have an ADR for 11/11/13 but am considering using a FP+ for the 8:00 show instead.

That can depend on a lot of things.

To be safe, I'd arrive no later than 35 minutes before show-time
'for either the Dining Pkg. or FP+.

I wonder how they will handle those who choose to use the cards instead of the bands?

I was mulling over doing the dining package but we're not big fans of the restaurants. I guess that we'll just join the herds that are let in the regular way. We sat in the Maleficent section the last time and that was fine.

MB or RFID Cards...
they DO have scanners available at both the ENTRANCE to the Fantasmic! gates (near ToT/Beauty and the Beast)
and near the actual seating sections at the top of the theater.

It's too early to book our fast passes but I'm trying to plan ahead. Does anyone know if they'll have 2 showings in February?

Question: Do the F! Dining Package patrons enter through the FP+ line?

They keep making changes, but the all entrances (most recently) are very near each other.
Just look for the signs as you approach.

Just attended Fantasmic! with FP+. I had been debating doing the dinner package vs the FP+ but now I wish I'd done the dining package. We arrived at 6:55 as the FP+ time said and we scanned in at the first entrance and the top. I headed to Pocahontas section as that was the last place on here I saw that FP+ was being seated. When I asked the CM where FP+ were sitting, I was told Pocahontas was for the dining package and I could sit anywhere. So at least for last nights showing there was not any difference between general seating and FP+ actually it was probably worse since I was under the impression I didn't have to be there an hour ahead and could use that time in the park! Also yesterday Hollywood Studios was a recommended park and it was wall to wall people!!!

Sounds like a waste of a fp+

I know its testing but it would be nice for planning purposes if it were consistent.

True. We still managed to get good seats but like you said I would have used for something else and arrived earlier.

We went on the 15th (the anniversary and when they rolled out the glow with the show ears) and were seated in the Pocahontas section. They did check MB and the section was pretty empty so you had room to move if tall people were in front of you ;)

The seats were fine but I think the DP and the regular stand-by people got a better view - we were kinda in between the water features so you saw the movie sections a little sideways.

Depending on what rides you want to do at DHS the F! FP+ is worth it. We do not do ToT or RRC yet so we did not have that many "must have FP+" for - we did F!, TSM and LM show. The park was pretty crowded and even stuff like Muppets and the LM show were packed - did not even know Muppets had a roped queue!

This might be a stupid question but were coming to disney feb 28- march 4 this is our 3rd visit we've never seen fantasmic... How do you get a FP plus??

Right now if you stay onsite you get magic bands and the ability to make 3 FP+ per park per day and it has been allowed 60 days previous to your stay. You have to sign up for My Disney Experience on Disney's website and there is some explanation there. I believe that accessing shows and parades might involve different times but hopefully someone will come along to explain that.

This is all subject to change since Disney keeps tweaking FP+.

My advice:

See the show.
Skip the FP+.

Where are the FP+ scanners for Fantasmic for those with FP+?

Is it when you enter the theater or when you actually enter the seating area?

Both.

(I'm not sure that they still use the "at seating area" scanner(s) now that they no longer
offer the the FP+ Reserved Section.)

Seated here waiting for the F! Show, one hour in advance and minutes after going through the usual hell to be seated, I feel really stupid and scamed by Disney, who made me throw one of my very escarse FP+ in the garbish!

Strong letter to follow. ;)

The show is good, but most here will agree with you...that's a bad FP+ offering.

They haven't had reserved seating for FP+ for at least 6-8 weeks now. We learned this the hard way when we arrived our first night. It's a total waste of FP
