What are the current fast pass rules in terms of the number of passes a person can have at one time? What is the time period for the pass (ie. one hour)? When can additional fass passes be obtained (ie. 2 hours after first one issued, etc.)? Thanks! Any other tips are greatly appreciated! :)

You can hold 1 fastpass at a time and get another 2 hours after you got the first or after the time to get on the first ride has passed.

I thought that I had read somewhere that you can hold more than one pass at a time. I guess it was just wishful thinking on my part!;)

The only way you could have two at one time would be if you get a fast pass where the return time is more than two hours away. Then, after 2 hours, you could get another fast pass. In that instance you would have two at one time. For example, at 9:30 you get a fast pass for Splash Mountain. The return time is 1:00. At 11:30 you get a fast pass for BTMR. At 11:30 you would be holding to FP's, one for BTMR and one for SM.

There's another way to hold two at a time. As soon as the time "window" opens for your first FP, you can get another. So if you get a FP at 9:30, and the "window" is from 10:30 to 11:30, you could get another one at 10:35, even if you don't use the first one until 11:30.

I think the FPs now actually have it printed on them when you are able to obtain another one, so you don't have to worry about "doing the math."

You are correct Stamp Mom. They do now print the time you can get another FP.

Can't you get another FP 45 minutes after the first, if your return time hasn't come up yet?

Not probable but possible......we managed to do this during an EE day at MK but you have to hustle and involves lots of walking

To be done by people willing to walk only - DH (me) did this to show DW (for a joke) how to go logistics crazy at WDW commando style for a morning and to get DS all the rides he would like

Right Away at 0800 Get FP for Winnie - return time 0900-1000
Do some rides, get FP for Buzz - return time 0925-1025
At 0925 get FP for another attraction - in our case Peter Pan return time 1005-1105

0930 Rode Buzz Lightyear then walked up to Winnie, rode using FP and then checked out the Winnie store at the exit and then rode Peter Pan

In the meantime, taking DS on rides like Dumbo, Madhatter, Small World, Snow White, Tommorowland Indy Speedway - DW took DS on some of these whilst I gathered the FP's up. I took DS on some as well and we did the relay on Madhatter - I rode with DS went to the exit and then passed DS to DW for a 2nd go on the ride whilst I went to get the FP's

I would not recommend the above approach due to its tendency to make the trip too much like a strategy but it can work

Below is a good link for fastpass info

Man, I did not have to worry about what I was eating with that back and forth walking....

Thanks

I went two weeks ago and was able to get another 40 mins. later and then 38 mins. after that.

The times do vary based on demand, capacity, etc.

MJS - you may have heard/read this on the Disneyland board. We were there a month ago, and with any AAA or WDW Travel Co package, your tickets were special and allowed you to get as many fast passes as you wanted. Only restriction was only one per ride at a time (so you couldn't get 10 for space mountain and ride them all day). I was going to post a question on this board to see if there was a similar option at WDW, but I guess not!

We did find there, however, that they strictly enforced start times, but didn't enforce end times. This would mean you could "stock up" on FP's early in the morning when the window was a short time out - as soon as you got in the window, get a new one. But not actually use them until much later. Several times we used FP's that expired at 10:30am at 3 or 4 pm. Does anyone know if this is true at WDW?

marciemi, I think that's true at WDW too. When I was there a few weeks ago, I had a fast pass for Test Track with a window of 6:15-7:15. I didn't make it over there until 7:45 and they let me right in. I don't know if it's a judgement call based on how long the fast pass line is or if it's standard practice, though.

At MK you may obtain another FASTPASS at the time the ticket you are holding becomes valid or two hours, whatever comes first.
