Fast pass + easy peasy

I agree. We got SDMT for three different days in Sept. I don't know if it's the time of the year (going in low season) or if MDE is finally starting to work correctly. But we got all of our preferred FP+ reservations at the times we wanted for all five days of our trip.

Same here a few days ago, everything worked like a charm. All times I wanted were available, now just tweaking a little bit with 10 minutes earlier etc. but 98% everything was perfect :)

Got our last night as well, all good. A&E were very limited time wise, I'll have to move our lunch ADR, no big deal. Very happy over all.

My sister and I too. What was offered actually fit perfectly in with our ADR's and other plans. I think I'll like going in Sept. :)

I have to admit I was disappointed that I could only get Anna and Elsa for 7 to 8 PM. I was really hoping for something earlier in the day but I keep checking. otherwise I agree it is very easy and I got everything I wanted.

I am glad to hear that it went well for people (except A&E). I am making might midnight next Monday and I am starting to get nervous about it. I am going to start with the goal of getting A&E as early as possible on our last day and then move from there to our first day.

Hmmmm....I too booked last night right at midnight. About 15 minutes in, the system started getting very glitchy (more and more frequently getting "try again" messages, first just when trying to change times on chosen selections, then even a few times when trying to choose the attractions themselves.) Twice, the website kicked me completely off of the FP+ page When I simply hit the "update" button! Thankfully, all the problems didn't start until after I'd booked our 2 MK days, including A&E, so it was more annoying than panic inducing:rolleyes:. It took me over an hour to complete our 6 day trip, strictly because of those problems.

That said, I got everything we wanted, and will only need to try to tweek maybe 1 or 2 times to be able to match my plans "perfectly". A&E, which I was only booking for 2, was completely gone for our first MK day when I logged on at midnight; immediately skipped to our 2nd MK day (last day of our trip) & had a decent selection of times so I was able to book a mid-afternoon time that fit into our plans well. Within 10 minutes (when I went to book the 3 FPs for the 3 men of my party), A&E was completely gone for that day too.

I was wondering if others were having problems last night too or if it was a problem with my connection...:confused3. I figured most people do a Sat-Sat trip like we have, so a lot of people's 60day mark opened last night, maybe overloading the system a bit? But sounds like y'all had a much better experience than I, so I'm gonna blame my dang computer & do what needs to be done: :badpc:

Well I am not a night owl & decided not to do them at midnight but set my alarm for 4:30 this morn (an hr earlier than I usually get up for work) was finished by 5:00am. No glitches at all

How long are you going for that you couldn't get A&E?
6 days (9/12-9/18). I ended up booking then individually for 4 people in our group on the night I wanted them. We will now be meeting A&E on 9/15 at 5pm. I've had to give up our 2 other FP choices for this but I'm good with that

Is there some place on My Disney Experience that tells me exactly what day at midnight that I can book my FP's? I know it's 60 days ahead, but just would feel better to double check Disney's official date somewhere. We arrive on Oct. 24th.

Curious what worked best for those who were successful? Is picking the times closest to what you wanted, then modifying the ride times, the best strategy OR selecting essentially the opposite (say you wanted a morning SDMT so selecting evening times like other threads have suggested) before going back and modifying times? Or am I simply over thinking the whole thing? Any insight would help.

We are going in Sept as well and were lucky enough to get all of our FPs and ADRs, definitely the best time of year to go :)

I had my ADR's in front of me & what day we would be at each park. I picked times closest to what I wanted & for the most part got them right away. Then I went back in to tweak a couple of fast pass times

OK DIS board members: my time is tonite at 12 midnight for checkin on 9/13. If I do not get A&E... well...there will be some very unhappy grandkids to contend with. I am taking the good vibes from everyone lauding September. I, too, think this is a great time to "see the World". Trying for those prime FP+ for our 5th day there and working backwards for all of our other FPs. Any other thoughts? Thanking you all in advance...

what is your fastpass strategy? i pretty much have all of mine one after another and now I'm rethinking that. i don't want to be rushing around the parks but we have limited time...should i try and spread them out a bit more?

We had a great experience making our FP for the last week in june. We made most of our FP between 10:30 to 1:30 basically back to back. That gave us the first 1-2 hours to hit what we want with no lines, then use our FP. Availability for the 4th was still pretty good around 1 or 2 but got limited as the afternoon went on.

For me the biggest problem with FP still is the kiosks. Going to a physical location is a bit of a pain but really the problem is the other guests who have no clue what they are doing.

I would prefer to be able to just use the App (if your location says you are in the park) and leave the kiosks for people without a smart phone or who need help.

For me, I got the attractions that we wanted every day (for us, five days at WDW). After I had secured all of the actual FP's that I wanted for each day, I went back and modified them to fit into our time schedule as best I could. Remember, they can't be too close together, so sometimes you have to move one to an undesirable time to get another FP in a time-bracket that works for you. I did this with a few and it opened new time-slots for other ones which I needed to move. I played around with it for about 15 minutes and had all of my times correct.
