Just curious, We are staying at the Royal Pacific in May. My uncle is also going to be going to Orlando at the same time, but he booked a hotel on Priceline, so he cannot get his money back. Anyway, my question is, is there anyway of him being able to ride on the rides with us using our express fast pass. I don't know how this system works, but was a little curious.

Thanks

Well, he could but it would be tricky.

Since you are staying onsite you will use your room key to get FOTL. Each person must have their own key.

Since you uncle won't have a room key here is they part that is tricky. They have the fast pass machines for some of the bigger rides so he would have to use them. Just have him get the fast pass and everyone go on the ride based on the time he can use the fast pass.

The only problem is that FOTL with the room key is unlimited. The fastpasses can only be used every 2 hours? I believe.

So, yes, it is possible, but as easy as if all of you had a room key. His fastpasses will dictate your schedule.

You could always add him as a guest in your room. However, if you already have two adults in your room, I think there would be a charge for the extra person.

I should clarify...

The fastpasses issued by the machines is good only once but you can go back after 2 hours (Please, someone correct me if I am wrong) and get a new fastpass for that same ride.

Sorry...I am not too sure how long you have to wait between times because it has been years since we have stayed offsite.

He would have to either:
1. Get a free fast pass from the machine
2. Buy a fast pass booklet (about $25-30 that allows a one-time express access per ride)
3. Put him as another guest in your room. That would be an extra charge if he is the third adult and not possible if there are already 5 people in the room.

I guess it would be a little tricky then. Not only that, I will be with my husband and 2 kids and he is also bring along a friend with him. So, it really will not work and I am not waiting around on people. After all, that is why I am paying more to stay at the Royal Pacific.

We are in the same boat. We just found out that my parents will be down in Florida the same week we are, and my dad keeps talking about how he'd like to try IOA for a day with us. I LOVE the idea of him joining us (he's never been & would love it), but we will all have FOTL access, and we can't add him to the room since there's already 5 of us. If he comes with us, we'll have to stand in the regular queue line with him most of the day. I don't think my DH will be too happy paying $$ to stay onsite when we're not using the FOTL access........

You can buy Express Plus passes for a total of $16.39 each (for May). You can buy them for both Universal and IOA. Just go to the Universal website: http://www.universalstudiosvacations.com/hotdeals/hotdeals.asp?referrer=un4
Click on: Tickets only, type in your departure date, in the promotional code box type in: FAN62397 (fanclub discount, saves you 10%). Then click on Search. The Express Plus passes are good for 1 time on every attraction that has Express. You can order the passes now, and pick them up at the park.

Remember, Universal calls it "Universal Express," not Fast Pass. And it ain't Freeway or Fastlane either! :)
