Fast Panic Plus

I honestly had a dream last night about booking FP+ last night...I wish I were joking! I'll be so relieved tonight when our initial selections are made.

Quick question: when you click on the FastPass+ link in MDE, does everyone get a popup that says, "I'm sorry, in order to select FastPass+ experiences, party members must have a valid ticket and be within at least one party member's FastPass+ selection window" and then reloads the page?

I've read that people see a 30-day calender and I've never seen it...just maybe a two week calender that quickly goes away after the popup. Of course, I'm paranoid that I didn't correctly link our tickets even though they appear in MDE.

And yes, I'm clearly overthinking everything. Sigh.

I never saw that quote. I always had a 30 day window until 12:04 on selection day, and then poof! 60 days plus length of stay.

I'd call Disney and ask to speak to IT about that before tonight.

Argh, something else to stress over! Thanks for sharing your info.

Do you have your tickets linked in MDE? Ours says for DS that he doesn't have a valid ticket (doesn't need one because he is 2) but DH and I have ours linked. So when I choose the people I can only choose DH and I. Next to DS it says "no valid ticket" or something along those lines.

Hmm...I thought I had our tickets linked. Under "Tickets and Passes" it shows 7 Day Base Tickets for 3 members of my family. The weird part is that my son who is under 3 doesn't show up, which is understandable (I think).

I thought I linked them, bc when I go to "Link Tickets" under My Reservations and put in the confirmation number of our, it says tickets are already linked.

Is there a separate place to do this in FP+ link? I mean, on the FP+ page, it says that I can start making selections on 7/25 so maybe I'm just overthinking this.

Not sure :confused3 Maybe just wait until your window opens and it will work? I logged in to MDE and under my account chose fast pass + then followed the directions by picking date, guests, park, so on...

That was the message i got when i was trying to book FP+ before my window opened -- it went away once I was allowed to book ;)

Thank you for letting me know!

And OP, sorry for hijacking your thread. I will definitely come back and let you know which days had A&E after my window opens tonight.

Talk me off the ledge....

60 day FP+ reservations open next Monday for 9/28-10/3. Going to MK 3 times... twice on Halloween days (Sun/Fri) and Wed.
Family of 4- have 2 young Frozen obsessed daughters (4 & 6).

All the talk of A&E passes being scooped up has me in a panic. Sounds like the 9/27 passes are already gone...and I have 4 more days until I can make reservations.

I've read this board religiously, and still don't know what the best strategy for A&E and 7DMT are.
- Try to book on final day first....
- Do single-person and copy? and repeat?
- If I don't get them for EVERYONE the first time, go ahead and book a time--and keep checking for other times that may overlap?

What's really super-frustrating is that TP has our first day at MK listed as a 1-- and the A&E passes are already gone for the previous day. Yikes. I know FP+ isn't perfect, but it's extremely upsetting that so many people who are booking on-site don't even have the option to book a FP+ for this.

Okay, so my window opened last night exactly at midnight. MDE/FP+ worked without a glitch, which was really nice. I started with my last MK day, which is 9/28. There were A&E FP+ available, but only for after 4:30. It's also a party night so there were about 4 or available slots. There were lots of choices for Mine Train.

I also checked for the next day, 9/29. There were lots of slots available, with times starting from 11:30 or so, all the way through the end of the night. Mine Train had just about every time available.

I backtracked to see if there were any A&E for our first planned MK day, 9/24 and they were all gone.

So definitely start with the last day possible, and work backwards. I only needed 3 FP+ for my group, and since I was able to snag a FP+ using the "select all" option, I didn't try to copy option.

In general, I didn't have any problems getting my preferred times for other rides/shows. I would suggest making sure your choices are in the order you want to do them bc it makes changing the times easier, especially if you're moving the times earlier.

Hope this helps--I really appreciated all the info you guys shared. Good luck everyone!

Congratulations. I was able to score all of our FP+ picks as well. We ended up renewing our APs early. We had to educate the agent about FP+, but after he checked with his manager learned he could renew them earlier than the 60 days before expiration date.

I couldn't score SDMT for 9/26, but was able to arrange it for 9/30. I am thinking we will do the dash to SDMT on 9/26 and hope to queue up without a lengthy wait. If not, we'll ride other Fantasyland rides without FP+ and head to Frontierland and ride with our FP+. We like to hit the park of the morning at rope drop and then move on to other venues (EPCOT) by noon. Fingers crossed the plans will work as they have in the past.

I did have a glitch while making FP+. I had reserved MK FP+ for Friday, 9/26 and AK for 9/27. When I went back to view my FP+ somehow the MK reservations were not there and AK was on Friday rather than Saturday. I was able to reschedule both days as I had originally scheduled and all appears correct, for now. :rolleyes1

Hope you have a nice visit!

What ever time you can get keep it. Write up a special invite and fancy and mail it 2 weeks before you leave, for your girls.

my youngest at 7yrs old was dying to eat in the castle with the princesses. That was the first thing she wanted to do, the only reason to go. Well I couldn't get dinner adr for the castle till middle of our trip. ugh

So I wrote up a fancy invite for her to dine at the castle with the princesses. Date and time included. Bless Cinderella for playing alone so well.

You will get one, just keep trying and make it extra special.

The FP+ issues with A&E are pretty well known.........unfortunately :confused3
This is the reason Disney was testing a new "Stand-by" process with the return to "paper" FP (Although they'll never call it that :lmao:). There's also talk of adding a A&E meet and great back at the Norway pavilion at Epcot........

The strategy about looking to your closing days for A&E seems to be the best, but it's a crap-shoot. Given you know whats up alternative plans should be considered. One that may work is;

MK at rope-drop.............go to Princess Hall.........if you can get in line.......do it!...........otherwise hope they institute the paper FP process. Bottom line is have alternatives.

As far as 7DMT..........on my 60day last week I had absolutely no trouble get FP's for the ride........(and note I didn't get in until 1:10am ET). While the initial times I got weren't perfect it was very easy to update the times after I was finished (suggest finishing all days before going back too......).

Even though we did want A&E I'm ok with what we got since we were able to get a Festival of Fantasy FP :woohoo:

The link below:

is a great resource on the FP+ system. Its updated all the time.

Whatever happens don't let this ruin your trip :thumbsup2 There's more to WDW than A&E...............

Doug :goofy:
