Talk me off the ledge....

60 day FP+ reservations open next Monday for 9/28-10/3. Going to MK 3 times... twice on Halloween days (Sun/Fri) and Wed.
Family of 4- have 2 young Frozen obsessed daughters (4 & 6).

All the talk of A&E passes being scooped up has me in a panic. Sounds like the 9/27 passes are already gone...and I have 4 more days until I can make reservations.

I've read this board religiously, and still don't know what the best strategy for A&E and 7DMT are.
- Try to book on final day first....
- Do single-person and copy? and repeat?
- If I don't get them for EVERYONE the first time, go ahead and book a time--and keep checking for other times that may overlap?

What's really super-frustrating is that TP has our first day at MK listed as a 1-- and the A&E passes are already gone for the previous day. Yikes. I know FP+ isn't perfect, but it's extremely upsetting that so many people who are booking on-site don't even have the option to book a FP+ for this.

Yup. Today was my 60 days and I wanted A&E FP+ for either 9/22, 9/23, or 9/24 (2 people) and couldn't get a time for any of those. I did get one for our second to last day on 10/1 but I'm not even sure if we will be going back to MK then. We kind of had MK planned for a few days at the beginning of the trip then transferring resorts and doing the rest of the parks…

I don't know how you have your park days set up so this might not work. But from what I gather, I would start looking on your last day first, right at midnight.

I would start with your full party of 4 then quickly move to breaking the party down if necessary and trying to copy or get overlapping FPs.

I feel the same way. My FP+ window opens tomorrow at midnight and I'm already so stressed out about it. I keep telling myself that I can't let having a FP+ for A&E give me so much stress but I can't help it.

Keeping my fingers crossed. I will definitely come back and post if FP+ were available for later in my trip--hoping for the 28th or 29th.

My strategy will be to go straight to my last day and look for our party number (3, since my DS won't need one as he's under 3). If that doesn't work, I'm going to try looking for 1 and then copy over to hopefully 1 more person.

It's crazy frustrating to see people trying to book for October already....and I haven't even been able to TRY and set them up for Sept. So glad I'm not able to actually benefit from the on-site 60-day window.

Does anyone know if I can get 2 FP's and send my daughters (4 & 6) in by themselves? It's dumb to think that I need a FP to take a picture of my daughters with A&E.

I guess the final option would be to wait it out...noticed that times were around an hour at 9:30 this AM...so there's hope, right?

I would go with wait it out. The line can be long and not a place for a 6 and a 4 year old alone. The line snakes around and can't even be seen from the outside.

That's correct, it's 60 days not 2 months. July and August have 31 days so it adds 2 days to the 2 months.

Apparently there are only 9 FP+ reservations per hour.

But they are testing changes to the standby line for Anna and Elsa.

for what it is worth -- i wasn't able to book my FP+ until noon on 60 day -- and i was still able to get an A+E FP for 5 at 4 pm .. it fit my schedule perfectly.

So don't stress it -- do what you can -- and if all else fails -- claim Summer broke out in Arendell and Elsa had to go deal with the chaos!

No, they can't be there alone that young. You have to have a FP to enter the queue even if you aren't having your picture taken.

Your concerns are valid. After carefully preparing my FP+ plans - including watching YouTube videos to see the actual pages, and planning to start on our last day (9/26) with just one of our party - no go.

Last night, I got up at 11:45, hooked up power cord and old-school ethernet cord (no chance of the router getting flaky!), and hit refresh every 10 seconds. For an hour. Okay, I stopped refreshing after 12:05 and frantically started googling my symptoms. And refreshing every minute or two. My MDE page flipped over to "60 days", but I couldn't access my FP+ page until 1:01.

Of course, the E+A's were probabaly gone a couple days ago. But I was so freaking out for that hour last night. And then just devastated for the next hour - as I chose and rearranged every single other FP+ I wanted (including 2 Soarin's and 2 7DMT's).

In the light of day, I have been a bit more practical. Be prepared to make a Plan B and maybe a Plan C. I have 2 evenings at MK planned and a Crowd Level 1 morning. We'll look at the standby line late on our first evening. If that doesn't pan out, we WILL actually get ourselves to Rope Drop on our MK morning! (Interested to see if there will be standby or paper FP's by then.) And if it STILL doesn't work out, I have already started downplaying the importance of E+A - after all, we got EVERY OTHER FP+ we wanted, at perfect times too! Not to mention some fabulous ADR's...

You could also prepare a "consolation prize" for your girls. Our last 2 trips, DD was 4 and 6, and every night a different princess or fairy "left" a gift in our room. Perhaps you could prepare a special something and write a personal note from E+A. Our first trip, the princesses "invited" DD to the Akershus breakfast.

And of course, don't forget to keep checking for openings - pixie dust is all around us!

We'll have a great trip and so will you. And remember that only 1-2% of guests will get into that line. If you're not one of them, you'll be in good company!

Keep in mind that for many, the FPP window isn't opening until 1:00 am, so keep trying for that entire time.

From all reports, if the hour delay happens, it is happening to everyone that night (so it isn't like everyone else is scooping up the FPP times up before 1:00 am).

Thanks--just to clarify--our date opens up 7/29--but was noting that the passes for the 28th were already out and I have 4 more days of waiting...just assuming the passes would be gone for our dates before our window opened. Confusing...just like FP+

I could not get barely anything when my fast passes opened up, but a few weeks later I snagged an A&E and BOG! There is hope, login every night once a night!

Op I was able to get a&e for 6 about half way through our trip at 60 days. I was actually able to even change the time to earlier in the day because it better for our schedule.

I honestly had a dream last night about booking FP+ last night...I wish I were joking! I'll be so relieved tonight when our initial selections are made.

Quick question: when you click on the FastPass+ link in MDE, does everyone get a popup that says, "I'm sorry, in order to select FastPass+ experiences, party members must have a valid ticket and be within at least one party member's FastPass+ selection window" and then reloads the page?

I've read that people see a 30-day calender and I've never seen it...just maybe a two week calender that quickly goes away after the popup. Of course, I'm paranoid that I didn't correctly link our tickets even though they appear in MDE.

And yes, I'm clearly overthinking everything. Sigh.

we're going the same exact time! but i thought my thing said i can start with fp+ on 7/30?

we don't really have set days we are going to be in certain parks (besides adrs) but now i'm worried about a&e...we're taking dd who will be 21 months and they are the only princesses she knows right now....was really hoping to be able to get fp+ for them....but on the up side, she'll only be 21 months and won't know any different....but i will....
hoping we both get lucky and can score some fp+ for them! good luck!
