For those that have a bazillion pieces , aside from having a lot of neighbors, do you "ask for gold" everyday? Today was the first time (maybe the second) that I've ever "asked". Do you get more if you ask? Do you get more if when you accept a gift, that you send one back? Still only a couple months into Farmville and still trying to figure out little tricks of the trade.

I try to "ask for gold" everyday. When your neighbor responds to your request, they get the option of fuel, mystery box, coins, XP and something else. They can get up to 10 of these gifts a day, so if you do it right you can spread things out nicely. This also goes directly to your gift box so you don't have to worry about accepting them. Just make sure your box has enough room to store everything though.

My highest neighbor has 273. I'm now in 2nd with 163. 2698???

I wouldn't mind more neighbors so if anyone wants one just pm me.

I'd love more neighbors too, but I'm hesitant to add Facebook "friends" who I don't know just to be FarmVille neighbors.


I guess I should add that once things are removed from Facebook, then I'll be all for adding neighbors just to be neighbors.

I created a list called "game friends" this way I can hide my info from people I don't really know........ kinda a pain to set up, and sometimes I forget to put people on the list but it gives me a (false) sense of safty

Yes and no. I got Facebook requests with the Gold Coins. I accepted them, and it went straight to my farm (no option to send a thank you) and nothing in my gift box.

So, I got the requests, but not the gold.

That's very interesting. So farmville doesn't know you're not neighbors when you send it, but figures it out before the gold gets to your farm and sends it back to the bank.

I read somewhere that FV maxes out at Level 70. One of my neighbors is at level 64 - does anyone know of someone closer? I'll be interested in finding out what happens when you get there. (I'm at level 43.)

Same thing happens to me. Only happens with people I'm not neighbors with though.

Literally, nothing. You still accumulate XP, but you basically stay at Level 70 (i.e., you no longer get additional FV cash).

I don't really know why FV is so nuts about people helping other people who are not neighbors. I used to post on the FV boards and had a link in my siggy to VISIT my farm - not for gifts, not for fertilizing, just to see my farm (many other ppl had this as well). I got the nastiest PM from a mod there about how NO ONE can have access to my farm except for my neighbors, yadda, yadda, yadda....it was paragraphs and paragraphs of ranting!!

I don't really see what the big deal is - what difference does it make to Zynga if ppl are neighbors or not???
