Farm Town on Facebook...

That could be me ("Lilly") that you're talking about---it happened again today and logging out didn't help. :confused3

I have a whole farm ready to be harvested but I can't see my friends to hire someone. :guilty: I don't have time to do FT right now, but later this afternoon I will give it another try.

Yes it was you! :lmao:

I can't keep everyone straight with their Dis name/Farm Town name/ and real name. Since friending some of you on FB I don't remember you by your Dis name anymore.

Do you have the latest version of Flashplayer?

No, and that could be the problem. It won't upload on our old computer. : ( I'm going to keep trying to hire a friend. It's a weird problem in that so far it seems to come and go.

That's the fun part - hiring DISers and chatting. It's been great getting to know some of the DISers that I have posted back and forth with on threads for years. :)

I missed the harvest party at Ann's tonite. DS2 decided he wanted "kernels" (his word for popcorn) so I was busy with him.

I was there. Missed you! I kept going slow just in case you showed up. Hopefully we can all make it the next time!

Yes, we will do it again! I will check for everyone again tonight. I love the harvesting parties! :cool1:

Anyone who hasn't already, join farmtown DISers and put in who you are! That makes it easier to find people who need neighbors also.

I missed a harvest party? That's terrible. I may or may not be around tonight. I'm off work tomorrow but today is Dh's birthday, so we will be going out to supper and wherever else he wants to go.

And now that he's finally on farmtown, would it be a bad thing if i just opened a 2nd window on my farm and hired him to harvest whenever y'all aren't around?:rotfl: He saved his password, and he needs the coins:rotfl2:

Surely on his birthday he would want nothing else than come back an harvest!!!!!! :lmao:

Can you do that? We've talked about hiring each other but didn't think you could have two facebooks open at the same time.

DH and I have done that a few times. You have to open in seperate browsers for it to work. We use internet explorer for one and firefox for the other.

We just figured out that one person can be in my account and the other person can be in my husbands account and it will work. But that is a lot of work to have to switch back and forth between accounts. I might try a different browser like you do. Never used anything other than internet explorer so I'll have to figure out which one to try.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Don't even need separate browsers. Just separate windows, What i do is open the second window and logout of FB then Dh logs in and hits farmtown. Since I'm already on my farm in the first window it doesn't log me out and then I hire him in his window. I just have to remember to go back to may farm with him though:lmao:

Well, the party ended up just being me and SCMinnie -I missed everyone else!!

Tonights party has to be called on account of getting my 12 year old nephew hooked who got his 10 year old brother hooked, and both desended on my farm like locusts -they harvested everything!!!!:lmao:

Which probably answers OctoberBrides question, yes, you are allowed to let relatives harvest!!:)

will have more tomorrow if my nephews don't get there 1st!

So I'm home and online. Dh went out for an IHOP visit with a friend which he usually does on Tuesday. I have a small crop of cabbage ready if anybody is interested. I'll be on my farm trying to remodel. :lmao:

I couldn't read back through all these pages but if anyone hasn't figured it out: Make a facebook page for your dog or cat! Then set them up to farm ONLY the trees they receive as gifts. The fruit bearing trees stay ripe forever, so no crops to worry about and there's ALWAYS a farm hand about. Of course, you have to get the hang of running 2 farms in seperate windows, as has been explained previously. Using IE for one and Firefox for the other seems to work best.

Also, who's tried Restaurant City?

A friend tried to get me onto that. I tried it, but its too complicated I think.

It's not complicated but it requires a LOT more attention than does Farm Town. If you have an addictive personality....stay away....stay FAR, FAR AWAY!

Waiting for my grapes to be ready to harvest...

Will plan better tomorrow :) I'm SO tired. LOL!

To be able to find each other to harvest or hire you either have to be neighbors which requires you to be FB friends or you have to be buddies. In order to be buddies you have to have been on a farm at the same time and sent/received/accepted a Buddy Request.

You can either send people a PM from this thread with your name or email address you have attached to FB or you can send a friend request from the Farmtown Disers group on FB. If you send a friend request from FB include a message letting people know you are from the DIS and your DIS screen name. There is a page on the FB group where most of us have added our DIS screen names.

If you are concerned about friending people you don't 'know in real life' you can set up groups in FB that limit what they can view of your profile. You can then assign people to the groups based on what information you want them to see about you. Go to your Privacy setting to do this. You can set up different groups with different settings.

Sorry this is long.

I should have onions, cabbage, and sunflowers ready this evening for harvest- about 2/3 of my farm. Should be on between 8 & 9.

Happy Harvesting everyone!!!!!
