I called DCL to move my DS & his girlfriend to their own cabin. The fare went up a little since booking & I thought they would be locked in at the original price. The agent called shoreside & they said no, my DS has to pay the new price. It's not a lot more, so he is still doing it. I just thought I read that you are locked in to your fare for the day you booked.

No, only the original reservation is locked into the prices on the day it was booked. That's if that reservation is moved to another category, for example. Any new reservation (which is what your son's reservation is) is at the prevailing rate.

Each room is it's own reservation.
