fantasyland and stroller parking?

we're taking our combi twin savvy stroller with us for our 2 year old twins. we've never done wdw with kids before so not really sure what we do with the stroller when we are on the rides. is there a place to park it near the ride? what about if the kids want to run around and do several rides in fantasyland, can I leave the stroller at one place and come back and get it a little later? or should I plan to move it to each and every ride?

Plenty of well marked stroller parking, and it's very easy to leave it in one spot and see many rides. You'll have no problems.

Actually, Fantasyland is so compact that you can easily park the stroller in the stroller parking area near Pooh and roam around the rest of the area. There's also one near Mickey's Philharmagic which is central to the rest. We did this more than once.

thanks!!! I was hoping that wouldn't be an issue. I know they are NOT going to want to get back in the stroller while in fantasyland, and I'm half tempted to just not even bring it at all, but I know if we do much more than that they will want a bit of a rest now and then.

out of curiousity, has anybody done without a stroller for 2 year olds while at the MK?

I've always parked it once and left it until I've finished Fantasyland. Great spot is at the end of Fantasyland just past Small World. The other spot I always park is at the carosel. Leave it and no longer worry while you explore the land. HAVE FUN with your twins! Enjoy

Just remember, it may not be exactly were you left it. CMs often rearainge(sp) the strollers to make room for others. If you leave it at a ride it will be at the ride but not always were you parked it, so don't panic if you don't see it, take a deep breath and look around.

You will regret it if you try! Those little legs will get tired, and the crowds can be very intimidating. My youngest is 4, and I'm so glad we had our stroller.

We took it with us from ride to ride, just so we didn't have to back track. We let them walk and it was fine. The kids (5/4/3) didn't want to get back in and out since the rides were so close together it worked out. They stay in the stroller in the other areas. It all depends on your kids.

Take your stroller for sure!!! And you might want to mark it in some way so that it is easy to find in the mass of others. We took our twin stroller and still had a hard time finding it after the CM's moved it...maybe buy a balloon or two with twins lol and attach and you can see it from a distance and take the panic level down a knotch...the parks are big and lots of walking is involved to get where you are going from the entrance to your destination...those young legs will tire!!!!AND so will your older arms if you don't have that stroller...long lines can wear a tiny one out as well...I see lots of sleeping kids on the treck to and from the parks!!!Have a magical time!!!Oh and pack a bag with snacks and drinks...so long as they aren't in glass or cans they are allowed...the expense of those inside the park is unreal!!!handy wipes are a must too!!!

I have seen people use balloon, but I've also seen the balloons become a problem while driving. Depending on how much and which way the wind is blowing, the balloons can get in your way pretty fast if you are the driver.

What some people have done to mark their strollers is use some of that curling gift wrap ribbon on the push handles. If you have a lot of it, you can see it from quite a distance. And, being on the handles, it's noticeable to someone if they mistake yours for theirs and start pushing it away.

On our last trip, several of our party had gone on Small World while I took youngest DD to the bathroom. I waited for them for about 15-20 minutes just outside the large, well marked stroller parking area by Small World's exit.
Many people just parked their stroller in the area where ever they found a vacat spot outside the stroller area, even though the designated stroller area was only about 20 feet away and was well marked. I think some of them were so focused on getting on the rides that they never saw that.
The whole time I was there, one CM was busy moving strollers from those spots to the marked stroller area. As soon as she cleared an area and went to work on another side, another group of people filled in the spots that she had just cleared. I'm sure some of them saw the CM, but didn't really notice her. I only saw one family who came back and didn't find their stroller. As they were looking around, they saw the CM moving strollers and followed her back to the parking area.
I would not have wanted that CM's job. Talk about a never ending task. Watching the process was just like watching the ocean waves - a wave comes in, a wave comes out.

thanks! I was all fired up about the balloon, and still may try it, but the curling ribbon is a great idea. I like the idea of it on the handle, too, so a person who might grab my stroller will realize it pretty easily.

About the balloon idea...we thought this would be great when my daughter was a toddler and tied a balloon on. It worked GREAT to find our stroller, but all day long I kept cursing the balloon as it constantly got in my face, no matter how much I tried to keep it down. I said "gosh darn balloon" so many times that my daughter, when we returned our stroller at the end of the day, said "don't forget my gosh darn balloon!"

I wouldnt even think of taking your twins without a stroller unless you are feeling VERY strong!

Believe me.. its a long way around the MK and its even further back if you are carrying a child, let alone 2!
