Has anyone here done the Biplane Ride that Waldo Wright's Flying Service offer? I saw it on the Fantasy of Flight website (DH loves planes) and DH and I think we'd like to try this. At $57.95 per person its not too bad and they even supply cap, glasses and scarf to complete the 1920's aviator look!

If you've done this what did you think of it?!

We can't recommend this highly enough. We both got to try it just last month after featuring it for more than a year, and it is even better than we thought. It is a thoroughly memorable experience and it is all so slow-paced (but surprisingly manoeverable - the pilot can turn the plane seemingly on a wingtip), you get plenty of chance to take it all in. The lakes around here make for good scenery, too. Susan and I both did the New Standard ride (which takes up to 5), then I got to go up in the 2-seater Stearman, which is quite breathtaking as you also get to take the controls yourself! It is all perfectly safe, but a great challenge at the same time. The latter is more expensive at $199/person, but both afford a real taste of flying, vintage style.

Thank you Simon, that's pretty much sealed it then! We will definitely be doing this, DH would love a go in that Stearman!

Glad you had such a great time!
