So I hear, this is our 25th cruise with Disney, we have done all the short little crusies, we have done Alaska, east/west carribean, Jamacia, Greek/turkey/ , Italy/Malta.
We spend a lot of time on Magic, spent 3 trips on Dream and have never hit Fantasy super pumped about experience!!!

We have only done the carribean ones , nice and warm places to get away from our cold and snow. I just shoveled from the dumping we had last night. I think I will take the snow over the -40 C weather we just a had the last two days.
Husband would love to do a med. one or even just go to Germany and a few places around that.

I don't how you cope with the cold, it is too much for me any more, I am willing to roast all summer over cold and snow. The Baltic is looking mighty good! Doing the 3 day cruise to Bahamas for thanksgiving, I am on strike for the rest of my life and want to start enjoying thanksgiving .

We have a fifth wheel and hope to be snowbirds in a few years once we get the kids though high school. The boy is in his last year and off to college next year , the girl is in grade 9 so we have a few more years. My husband can retire early the year she graduates high school but then comes the cost of college and university. The price of becoming parents late in life.

I never had to do Thanksgiving my mom did every year but she passed away in August. So I have a lot of first to get though. We went away for Christmas this year thinking it would be a good idea but it was very stressful with the Christmas season and all three got sick with bad colds, but me the second day in our 5 day cruise. Had to go and get the boy from the cabin to bring in the New Year on the Wonder .Usually I am looking for him because he never is in the cabin.

I think I realized that I am over 50 and every thanksgiving since I was 14 I was responsible for making the day happy for everyone else and I also shopped , planned, cooked, cleaned and dealt with leftovers/dishes. For years I have enjoyed this but not anymore so I have decided I have 7 kids and If they want turkey dinner made at home, go for it! Mickey will be serving me mine. Last year Me and the 2 younger girls went to Savannah Georgia for the weekend, it was the best. I slept late, watched tv with my girls, showered and put on makeup, then we went to the Pirate house for late lunch. It was amazing!! all those families just being together with no stress of work, it sealed the deal! The food and décor was amazing, I went back to hotel and took a nap(this has never happened before) then we went on a ghost tour. My girls and I had the best time. So I am forever on strike lol

Hello, to the Boards! This is my first post on this cruise thread... We are also, so happy to be sailing on the Fantasy for the first time on March 14! I have sailed on the Wonder (West Caribbean) once before, but my DH has not cruised since the days of the "BIG RED BOAT"! (Anybody remember that?) We are bringing along our DD14 who is in a wheelchair, and her nurse. We are booked in a 7A GTY currently. (Yes, I was sucked in by the MTR rates, lol!)

I do have a question. In the case that we are not changed to an accessible cabin, is it still possible to purchase an upgrade at the port? Or are those days Gone with the Wind?

Also, does anyone know the MDR menu rotation? I have booked Palo, Remy, Remy Brunch, and wanted to see if I picked good days... It seems to be a universal opinion on the boards to not miss the "show" in AP. Is this done on Pirate Night? Or is that different? (Thank you in advance, BTW for any help!)

Now that a Thanksgiving. I was lucky I was the one getting the benefits from my mom cooking. I did help , can't say that for the other 5 siblings in the family who came when called to dinner then left the table to lay on couches and floors...lol
But I wouldn't give up those memories for anything. My kids are getting older and I want to down size my Christmas decorations but they won't let me yet.

Still freezing here. My husbands truck wouldn't start yesterday very well. When it is this cold the frost forms inside the windows as well as out if there is any moisture in the car which there is from snowy boots. Just hope the weather gets it all out of it system so we have no problems flying out.

Today is Family Day here in Ontario, Canada so we have a holiday. Kids are home sleeping in. I could have but am so used to getting up early to send them off I'm up. Husband works at the power plant so no holiday for him, but good pay for this day....lol Someone has to pay for this trip.

If you have pirate night in AP you will probably have another night in there where they will do the show. Some people get AP twice but will only get the show once. The show is Crush talking to people and some other games. They also let you draw a person( outline is there you draw a face etc.) on a paper when you first sit down so don't be late. Then they bring that character to life like a cartoon on the scene. It is real cool looking for the one your family did.

Thanks for the response! Is anyone going to use the DCL App while on board (instead of the navigators)? That would be pretty cool to have everything on your phone instead of carrying around the paper booklet!

We have the app already on my dd ipod it has a count down going on right now. We never used it for the navigator but I have seen others use it. We don't turn on our phones at all while on the cruise. We usually go with the flow. The two kids are usually at the clubs and doing their own thing and we tend to wander...lol Do enjoy looking at the paper navigator when it is on our bed at night.

They actually have all the times on the insert now so you only have to have a folded paper now.
