Fantasy June 29, 2013 Meet Up!

Would anyone from our group like to join me and my son in doing the 5k? I am starting to walk/run to get in shape for it. We can motivate each other to reach the goal. I know there are apps out to help with the journey.
Just about 100 days, almost down to double digits.

My son and I plan on running it. I just finished the princess half and am training for the marathon weekend 1/2 next year. Hopefully it won't be a million degrees!

I have two that will be doing the 5K - although I was hoping to sleep in that day. If someone wAnts to organize a group of participants - you may be able to convince DCL to throw in some pixie dust for them.

Hi here goes for a few words Ranidazs did we sign up for the gift exchange with you? We have been busy and we forgot if we did. DGD is still thinking we are just on a little cruise and then going to our time share. We are sure she will love it we never book trips at port as most times she just wants to stay on board at the club.Do we have to sign up for the party or get-together as this is so different from Cruise Critic that we generally do.

Hi Everyone - I have a bunch of folks that have signed up for the FE multiple times. This makes it a little tough to tell if there are extra rooms or just an additional sign up. Signing up just once is fine. It takes all the information and puts it right into a spread sheet for me so I don't have to enter anything at the chance of making a mistake. I will wait until the cut-off date and then take a couple days to tidy up the list and send it out. When that happens, please look over your information and if there is a problem - send an email to the whole group so people can make changes. I will keep track of the changes until the last week and resend a list.


It looks like we're going to have a decent amount of cabins for this FE. IF, after the deadline passes we have a significant amount of people who want to participate - we can start a second list.

Why is it that just when you think you have all the plans set, something has to jump in and throw a wrench in it

I got an email from our airline that our flight home had been rescheduled from 1:30 pm to 9:30 am. Um nope, we aren't going to make that. In addition, they moved us around to seats all over the plane (only the two girls were sitting together. Me, DH and DS were all over the place).

I called to find out our options and there was a flight about the same time as our original with a 40 minute stopover in Dallas. Um, nope again. I don't want to deal with three kids, carry-on bags and a short time frame to get through the airport and settled again.

So we are rebooked on a nonstop flight leaving at 5:30 pm.
Has anyone booked a day room at the Hyatt MCO? We are staying there the night before the cruise and I'm thinking it might be worthwhile to go ahead and book a day room before our flight home.

When someone requests to join I send them a message on facebook. But since it cost $1 to send it to you main inbox it end up in your "other" inbox. I like to double check Disnames to be sure we don't end up with any Spammers and all

We were rescheduled too jetskigurl, for our flights down. Looks like we're going to be another hour before we get to the Hyatt poolside. As for the day pass, never done it. You might also consider an airport lounge pass, if you already have access for a frequent flier it doesn't cost too much to add family pp.

It's starting to feel like the final stretch now. We're only silver cc so have to stay up for online checkin tonight, and I've been up a good part of last night waiting to let in E.B. He's come and gone now, so I guess it's time for bed. CUL8TR

Ha, that's so funny. Who else would be up at this time posting on some online bb? Welcome to the boards and to your cruise thread! You are going to waste...I mean spend a LOT of time here figuring out all the ins and outs of, well, stuff. In the end, it will be worth it. Your family will be amazed at all the stuff you already know. So, troll the boards, read, ask questions, and don't get too bothered by people with strong opinions. They occasionally pop up here and there.

We're all checked in - PAT of 11:30. No Palo or Spa reservations for us, but we signed up for the Rhino Riders excursion in St. Maarten and the Doubloon to Turtle Bay excursion in St. Thomas.
