Fantasy June 29, 2013 Meet Up!

As a person who doe`s not understand all of the abbreviations that are on this site it is hard to understand what is going on.We are DGD 9 and DW 63 and myself DH 67 at time of cruise. Will get final billing on April 15th so that gets that done. What is all this about 10 posts to get PM reply do not understand again not up on this. This will be first Disney cruise but Disney World completed many times with stays at the Beach Club on our last trip with DGD and it was great.

ALL I can say is you are my kinda people! I don't get them either! Usually have to call me niece and ask her! . Our DD will be 8 at sail time! Maybe we can meet up! ? It will be myself 39, DH 43 and our DD 8!

Jetskigrl, I think that's a good move with the day room.

We ended up changing our flights down today after JetBlue pushed our flights several hours later into the afternoon. I thought we were really getting in later than I would have liked...like after 6pm landing when we have the whole day off to travel. So we're flying out first thing now, be at MCO by noon and poolside relaxing MUCH earlier than I had planned. No complaints here. Agree about the adult beverage order, I'm working on a list as we speak.

If anyone else is staying at the Hyatt MCO the night before embarkation, we would love to meet up and get the ball rolling. I was thinking poolside 7PM to 9PM, let the kids swim and the adults can unwind!

I think that would be a great idea. My DDs are both on the Facebook FE group, but it seems like all the teens aren't jumping in.

We can do a meet on the first day of the cruise too. I know that's tough since some kids are shy but at least they can get to know faces that they can recognize.

Usually the meets happen at around 3 pm so there is time to get to muster afterward. We can do that. Last cruise we did it in The Tube and it was great.

Meeting at the park for a day sounds like a good idea. We sort of have our days planned already. (At least i do. LOL.)
I really like the idea of having a short meet up upon embarkation. That sounds like a really cool idea, and can help the kids mingle. I just saw the post about the girl scout troop. That's a really cool trip. Final payment due in a week. I'm trying to figure out how I can do my excursions. Can't stay up until midnight having to be up at 4am for work.

The cut off date for signing up will be April 14 (this is when cruises must be paid in full and it gives enough time for those personalizing their gifts.) If you have never done a Fish Extender before, please know that they really add to the special magic of a Disney Cruise. The only rule is that every cabin who is signed up must exchange something with every other cabin that is signed up. There are no special dates you have to deliver, no amount you need to spend. Some people will choose to do one gift per cabin, some will do gifts for individuals, some will do gifts for both. That's totally your choice. Just enjoy!

This is the first time we will be involved with the FE even though we have been on several Disney cruises before. I emailed you, and you may have replied, but my filter tends to grab important emails before I get them, and then they disappear into some technological black hole. I wanted to put our names on the list (Tammy and Christine, and triplets son Grant and daughters Kennedy and Madison. I also added 2 more cabins to the FE list, but don't see them posted, so I wanted to make sure they were included. They all have their FE's ready and don't want to be left out. They are the Liabeuf Family (2 adults...Amanda and Rene 2 daughters...Kylee and Kaitlyn) and the DeVries Family (2 adults)...Chris and Linda.

Please let me know if I have done what I needed, or if I have goofed, and need to do something else.

Fish Extender Sign Up Form​

Please submit information on the following form to sign up for the FE Exchange. The cut-off date will be April 14, 2013 which is the Paid in Full date for new cruisers.
This will give everyone plenty of time to get supplies and get their gifts together.

Hi Everyone - I am pasting the list of who is already signed up for the FE below. I will post the list of last names on FB. There are four days left to sign up for the FE.

I will lend my opinion as to the numbers based on past experience. On a seven night cruise, I have been in groups with 25 cabins and I have been in groups with two lists equalling over 75 cabins. 25 is a nice number, but usually the deliveries end around the third day. 75 cabins - -- whoa! Way too many - you spend your whole time delivering when you're supposed to be on vacation. A number in the middle is nice. Currently we are at 34 cabins. I would like to wait until April 14 and see our numbers. If we have enough to split into two groups that are more than 25, that may be a good option. If we don't, however, I think the numbers will be too small.


If we get people wanting to join AFTER April 14, we will have a second list. If that list is small, people from the first list will have the option to join the second list as well.

I hope all of that sounds ok.

to sign up, you use the link in the #6 post on the first page of this thread. This feeds all the information into a spreadsheet to decrease the error of me entering it myself. All the names I listed today are current as of five minutes before I posted.
