I know that it was the first time for SA53, not sure about Burymom, but I thought I'd share a little bit about DS experience with the Edge. He has been in the Edge 4 times in the classic ships and loved every minute of it. His only experience on the new ships was on the Dream last October and he wasn't all that impressed. We visited it during the open house and it felt too divided up, loud and not very conducive to socializing. Being with and enjoying your peers is important at that age. The Vibe on the new ships is just the opposite. Tremendous environment, much improved vs. the old ships. DS immediate comment was: "boy I will miss the new Vibe next year."
When you go back on another sailing tell your kids that the Vibe/Edge is like the first day in a new school. It can be a little awkward at first but soon you find the right group and then create great memories.

For my ds, he is a young 15 and felt like most of the kids at the Vibe the first night were much older. Basically, I think he felt intimidated by the older crowd. Because he was not comfortable that first night, he didn't want to go back. He did say he met a nice Noah (I wonder if it was noahsmom noah?).
find another FE hanging for a room that was not on our list - maybe deck 8 inside room that we surprised with gifts. Hope they liked Moon Pies, Goo Goos and Jack Daniels (all Tennessee products) otherwise I should have save the Jack Daniels for our Wait Staff we shared with them and they loved it. lol
We did a lot of reminiscing about the cruise over Christmas because I made a photo book for everyone (plus I have all your lovely gifts decorating my office and kitchen) and it made me think of the fun I had planning that trip with all of you!!!
, but I still have not given up on a next time!!!
