Fantasy Holiday Cruise 12/21/13

We just got off the Disney Fantasy this morning (am currently sitting at MCO) from the Eastern Carribean Cruise. We booked the December 21, 2013 Western Christmas cruise and can't wait. We participated in the FE on this cruise and had a blast so we are definately in for the FE on this cruise as well. It will be my husband (Chris -39), my son (Aidan - 8) and myself (Diana - 38).

We might also be interested in the Secret Mickey exchange so we'll be looking for more details on that.

Thanks!:cool1:

Diane,

Forgot to tell you...added you to the spreadsheet on the other list, if you have a cabin number you would like to add please let me know.

Dear Families,

Don't know if any of you will be traveling by car to go to the port, but was wondering if anyone wanted to meet up at a local MCO hotel prior to departure on 12/21?

HI Folks,

We just signed up for this cruise. We where just on the Fantasy Eastern Caribbean Cruise on 8/25/12. We loved the ship and wanted to go back on another adventure on it!

I a interested in participating in the secret Mickey exchange and other activities with this group!

My family is active in Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Are there any other Jewish families signed up on this list?

regards,

Lee Family,

I am always interested in hearing about other cruises, and it seems the Fantasy Eastern is quite popular.

We have also been working on an FE BUSINESS LIST, which I hope to have set up near this current list shortly. On this site, there is a working list of those interested in participating in various activities...even though there is a while to go until we cruise!

Someone has offered to spearhead the Secret Mickey's though I am sure they may need help as time gets closer, and you are interested. As I have heard that interest on FE participation really picks up prior to sailing.

You had asked about Jewish families, and I'm sorry I don't have an answer for that one, however I am sure in time we will find out. I do know that I am a mom of a 5th Grade Junior Girl Scout this year, by the time we sail she will be a 6th grade Cadette. I also know one other family on the list who has a daughter involved in scouting.

Please let me know some additional information about your family such as number, ages, names if you feel comfortable and I will add you to the list for the cruise.

Looking forward to meeting you in person!

We at in room 9162. Dd Samantha 17 ds Erick 12. DH Peter, me Michelle There are 4 of us total.

I'd be intested in linking tables with a family who have kids similar ages to mine. We should be on the 1st seating. On the Fantasy did not have us sitting beside the same families at each resteraunt and we missed seeing familiar faces at dinner.

We will not be participating in the Fish Extender exchange.

If anyone has questions about the ship, ask us. We had kids in the vibe and the Edge. My husband and I ate at Palo and Remys. We are also DVC members who go to Disney World at lot. This will be our 4 Disney Cruise. Besides our last trip on the Fantasy, our other two cruises where on the Wonder, one to Alaska and a 4 day to Nashua/ Castawy Cay.

I am going to add a working list on here, for those who are attending; and will note that you are not wanting to participate in the FE's.

Also, what can you share about Remy's? We loved the Palo's brunch on our last cruise. It is my understanding that they are doing away with the high tea on the cruises, do you know?

Becky

Dear Cruisers,

I have been working on not only the FE list, but threw together an additional one for members on this board as well. If you would like to update your information, please forward it to me and I will update.

Though it seems like our cruise is so far away, it will be here before you know it!

I look forward to learning more from everyone on the list, and look forward to meeting you each in person.

Thanks for the great list Becky!

Here is the rest of our information to add on: it is myself (Charmaine), DH (Joe), DD17 (Bre) and DS14 (Devin).

Also my username is cmcadoo66....there's an extra A on the list. ;)

Thanks again for all of your work on the list!:goodvibes

Can you add a column for common interests? You can add Girl Scout to mine as Ellyn will be working on some badges on the cruise. May also add Jewish families for Hanukkah. Just an idea. List looks great!

Great idea. If you do add the column - please put us down for Girl Scouts and Boy scouts! In previous cruises, we have brought council patches to trade with the scouts. Is anyone interested in doing that?

Remy's was amazing! I can't wait to go back there on the next cruise. Make sure you have a jacket for the men going there - my husband gave me less then a week to find him one for the cruise. They really do dress up very nicely for dinner at Remy's. You can get away with a skirt and blouse for dinner at palo and a Hawia or polo shirt for Palo. The food and service at Remy's was amazing! I've gone to Palo for brunch - it was OK - diner was better. I love having a dinner at Palo as you are pulling away from a port - it is an amazing view!

I know Gabby would love it...she will be a Cadette by the time we cruise, and we could also do a swap from our area if there is interest...

I also think it would be great if we could have an ice breaker for tweens before we sail depending when others get to the boat? Thoughts??

Hi!

We just returned from our wonderful 7 night Eastern on the Fantasy for our 17th wedding anniversary. This was my 7th DCL cruise and Tom's 3rd---he had more fun than I did this time---I think I like the Dream better. Sigh.

Anyway----I can now totally concentrate on this cruise---I have nothing scheduled before it. I am a long-range planner and stupid me I didn't book a dummy date for a future cruise while we were on board. I'll never learn---but maybe it is a sign that I should plan a trip that doesn't involve a Disney Cruise---perish the thought!

We will be sailing in an inside cabin for our Christmas Holiday cruise---I hope we won't miss our ususal verandah! I'm looking forward to the FE exchange----we are in cabin 9079----by saving money on an inside cabin during this really expensive week---I was able to convince my husband to try the Dream for New Years since we'll be in Florida anyway. So we will be packing for 2 cruises and 2 FE exchanges---wow!

I'm the person who hopes to organize the Secret Mickey exchange---I'll send out a list of questions to interested parties about 6 months out and there will be a date for people to have the questions and answers back to me so my wonderful husband can then assign people (I like to be part of it)and then you can have fun finding little gifts for your person and then near the end of the cruise you leave a holiday card revealing who you are. It is really fun---and you don't need to participate in the FE to participate in the Secret Mickey exchange!

Susan,

I am hoping that this upcoming cruise is all you hope it to be. It seems our family has the luck of being on The Wonder, so for us any new ship would be nice.

In regards to the Secret Mickey's, could you give ideas of what types of items are given during the days of the cruise and if they are character specific. I have seen that many people on other boards list their favorite characters. This is something our family may be interested in, but having multiple people to pack for...not sure if I want to add anything else so my list of things to do!

It sounds like you will have an outstanding holiday, with 2 cruises planned!
