Fantasy Holiday Cruise 12/21/13

As many of our families belong to the FE Group on Facebook, this may seem redundant, however we are at the time many would like to see the groups closed. We currently have 26 families wanting to participate in the exchange. So they have been named Group Chip (which consist of forward and GTY cabins) and Group Dale (consisting of mid, aft and GTY cabins).

As I have had problems in the past with putting spreadsheets on this site, I defer for any families who don't belong to FB to email me privately at rebeccagansle@gmail.com or PM me, so that I can assure you get a copy of the list.

***PLEASE NOTE***If additional families should join a third group will begin, however in the spirit of FE, if any of our families have extra FE items to share and would be interested in participating to "share the love" please let me know. Cabin Tour: Last Sea Day - when I first went on the Dream, someone organized a cabin tour so anyone that was interested could see the different categories first hand. It will help if we have a variety of cabin categories. I have a 4E on Deck 5. I sure the large porthole room and the virtual insides will be popular if anyone is willing to lets others take a peek.

White Elephant Ornament Swap: Each participant will bring one wrapped Christmas ornament to our first Cruise Meet (make sure to pack it in carry-on). The ornaments should cost no more than $20 and reflect where you are from, something about yourself, or Disney. In a random, predetermine order we will take turns choosing ornament. The first person opens a wrapped ornament and their turn ends. The second person then chooses whether to open a wrapped ornament or "steal" a previously opened ornament. If a person has his ornament stolen, he also has the option of choosing a wrapped ornament or stealing an unwrapped one. When a wrapped ornament is opened, the turn ends. When all gifts have been unwrapped, the swap ends.

We just booked rooms today, and are soooo excited! This is our second Disney Christmas Cruise and our first time on the Fantasy!

Haven't been on the discussion boards since April 2012. Can't believe it has been so long. I know I have been busy but that is crazy. Anyhow, we will be sailing with you on the Disney Fantasy this Christmas. It is myself, my husband and three Disney Princesses (12, 15 and 17). We have done many cruises on the Magic (some Christmas cruises), one on the Wonder, two on the Fantasy (back-to-back in summer 2012), and none on the Dream. We are all very excited about our Christmas cruise. We will spend a week in Florida before the cruise. I will try to catch up on the thread so far but if someone has a summary of events planned that they could share that would be great.

My name DISname is GANSLECLAN, and I am the moderator of this cruise board since 2012. The initial moderators of the board resigned and at that time I and several other members continued the board. During the interim and the continuation, most of our members left this board for the anonymity and safety that Facebook could provide. If you would have joined, or asked to have joined on DIS or FB, we would have offered an invitation to you and your family until Sunday, November 17, 2013 however this was not the case. All of our groups and FE's have closed, and the only group potentially accepting new members is the White Elephant Christmas Ornament Exchange however I will have to contact their moderator to see if this is the case. If this is, would you be interested in joining? If this is the case, I would need an answer within 24 hours of me contacting you.

We had left all of our groups open until the last minute fearing that something like this may occur and were hoping this would not be the case. However with only 26 days until we travel I am hoping you understand our need to close down. May I suggest that if you ever chose to participate in another group on a future cruise that you chose to contact the moderator much earlier, perhaps when you pay your deposit as you can always be removed from a board.

We made a last minute booking and are looking forward to our first cruise on Disney Fantasy, it completes a quad hat trick for us as we've been on the other three ships a total of 13 times.

Hi everyone,
My DH and I just booked this morning (Saturday). This will be our very first Christmas/Holiday Cruise. We've done 16 Disney Cruises.
We were on the Fantasy in September for my 50th on the same itinerary but the weather was awful so we missed most of our shore excursions due to cancellations. Hope to get to the Costa Maya Ruins this time.
