Fantasy February 16, 2013 - 7 Night Western Cruise Meet

It is myself, DH, DD 17, DS 15, and DD 10. we are in stateroom 10120. Has anyone cruise the western Caribbean before? I am looking for some advise on excursions or anything else to do while at the ports.

Well...we WERE going to start rebuilding our deck, but the soonest we could get the materials delivered is Tuesday. So, that will be next weekend's project. Our deck has a section that they built around a tree, but we've cut that tree down in fear that it would get struck by lightning and fall on the house. So we are going to add that corner section of the deck and power wash it and re-stain it. So, instead of power washing the deck, I power washed one side of the house. LOL I guess I'll work on the rest of it later. I'm thinking about planting some flowers today too. I LOVE Summer!!! (I know it's not technically Summer yet, but high 80's temps sure make it feel like Summer is here!)

Had our daughter's nursing pinning ceremony yesterday. We are heading to her graduation from Fairfield University this morning! So proud! Everyone have a great Sunday!

Not exactly fun plans or taking it easy I had to work for a few hours on Saturday for inventory. I'm also dog sitting and grooming 4 Goldens of which 2 are my "grandpuppies." Their owners are at WDW So I've spent a good part of the weekend soaking wet from bathing them in the rain and then subsequently covered in dog hair while blow drying and trimming.

Somehow between Friday and Saturday I also managed to go buy a new car which I had no intention of doing for a few more years Thursday night, I got one of those "too good to be true" offers from the Toyota dealership and decided to check in out.

Personally, I think I made out like a bandit. I wound up trading in my current 2008 base model Highlander with well over 124K on it for 2K more than what I could have sold it for and 3K more than the standard trade in value and 3K more than what I owed. I did have to negotiate for that though. My current finanacing was at 4.49% but I came in with a pre approved loan for 3.24% and got the delaer to beat that. I put a down payment on a 0% interest credit card I have that will give me 1.5% cash back, no cap which I'll pay off before the interest kicks in.

The dealer wanted 42K for the Limited model Highlander that I liked with the extra features and I just I had come in armed with the Consumer Reports car price report and started haggling from below dealer invoice including dealer incentives and hold backs. The salesman brought in a manager and we went round and round and I got up to leave explaining that I didn't care about getting a new car as I love mine, so if he didn't come to an agreement with me it was no sweat off my back. Heck, I wasn't planning to buy a car for a few years but would if they made it worth my while. He finally said ok, exactly what DO you want? I said, give me 12K for my car, beat my financing and I want the new car for 34K out the door. He left to go talk to "someone" came back and said you have a deal

Love the new car but I do miss my Tink-mobile Now I gotta Disney-fy this one

I love planting flowers in theory I'm not so good at keeping things alive unless they have four legs and fur The flowers or plants I do best with are the types that thrive with neglect and abuse. I my bouganvilla

Congratulations!!!! Nursing is a great profession but takes a really special kind of person to be a nurse I have great admiration and respect for nurses.

I've been searching but haven't found much, but that is probably because I don't have the time to go through all the threads page by page and follow all the links.
