Fantasy Dining Rotations

Curious on which dining rotations most prefer for the 7 night Eastern cruise? I read another person planning almost a year out for their first concierge cruise. I'm in the same boat, planning our first concierge cruise experience (just over 2 months before we can submit our 125 day out requests) and read we can request a specific dining rotation, request a table for just the 4 of us, and possibly location in dining rooms(?). This is my first cruise on the Fantasy.

Any suggestions on why one rotation is better than another? Or which one to start with?

We're by no mean foodies, but I am curious to try Palo. We didn't leave the kids for dinner on our first Disney Cruise. How is dinner for kids provided in clubs? Do you tell the kids club when to feed them...certain time? We're on first seating, and like that schedule at this point in time. Suggestions here one way or other for Palo preferred nights (i.e. formal night at Palo instead of MDR)?

Kids ages - 7 & 10 if that affects suggestions. Curious on others experience in the different dining rooms and which rotation preferred, any suggestions on best locations in dining rooms? Thank you.

As for the rotations, select the one with your prefered atmosphere. For us, it’s EG. We have been so many times to AP that we now prefer our MDR to be quieter. Most will recommend to start your rotation with AP since you’ll get to go there more often.

The problem with requesting a specific table location is that your table will not be located at the same place in all MDR’s. I would request to be near a screen on a 4-top in AP to have more chance to speak to Crush and let the other MDR’s follow.

Dinner for kids in the clubs is usually cheese sandwiches and similar boring cold items. They feed them all at the same time. Since you have early dining, I would rather bring the kids to the MDR, feed them a good meal and send them to the clubs while you go to Palo. If you let your servers know in advance, you’ll get express service and will be able to be at Palo around 6:30-6:45.

Our prefered evening for the adult restaurants is Pirate night since we do not appreciate it or participate. It’s not to be missed for others.

Thank you Marc! I've read many great things on EG. Great advice on the express service for the kids, we'd prefer them eat a good meal vs. cheese sandwiches etc.

Plenty of food available to feed the kids if you're going to Palo.
You can pick up food from the pool deck. Pizza, hamburgers, chicken fingers, fruit and milk are available. We would bring this back to the cabin and let the kids eat while we got ready for dinner.
Room service is also available. There is no charge for most items of the menu but you should tip a few dollars.
Cabanas is open (except for the first and last night). They serve what is being served in the main dining rooms. Service is usually quicker. It is sit down table service.

Assuming your kids are well-behaved at dinner, they can eat in the MDR without you, and the servers will spoil them rotten.

We didn't request a rotation or location, but ended up right by the screen with Crush in AP. DH had a fun conversation with Crush about turtle soup. Our waiter was still laughing about it the next night.
