Fantasy Concierge Stateroom near Elevator - Noisy?

We are a family of 3 currently booked in a Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah on the Fantasy, but I'm thinking of upgrading to a 1-bedroom (my DH snores and I tend to need a place to escape the noise during the night!). The only 1-bedrooms left on our sailing, however, are right by the elevator banks (11018 and 12026). My inclination is to, perhaps, book the 11th deck room to avoid any noise from the sundeck above, but I'm wondering if being near the elevators will be a problem? I can't tell from the deck plans if the hallway from the elevator leads directly to the hallway by the room? If anyone who has stayed on deck 11 on the Fantasy near the elevators could give me some guidance, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I can tell you about deck 12, and I'd assume deck 11 is the same. The elevators open onto a foyer type space. To get to the state rooms you actually have to go AWAY from the public areas and into a hallway.

A note about 11 vs 12: we like being on the same floor as the lounge for convenience and access to the coffee machine etc. We never heard any noise from the adult areas above.

I think you'll be happy with either room.

MY guess is that the rooms are far enough away that eelevator noise won't be an issue. Why not check the room reports and see if either of those rooms had such issues??

Thank you both! I didn't know there were room reports!! Guess I should check the stickies next time :)

Just read some reports and the deck 11 room sounds quieter than the deck 12 room, so I think we will do deck 11. I know we'll have to go to deck 12 to access the lounge, but I'd rather sacrifice convenience over sleep. Thanks again!

Just a short walk up the stairs!!

And to just add that the noise from above deck 12 comes from an adult area--so not much of kids running around, etc. We had 12012 a few years ago and at night it wasn't bad at all--slept w/o any issues at all.

Yep.

Has hubby been checked out for sleep apnea? CPAP made all the difference in the world for us. That and me finally wearing earplugs. Though nowadays the earplugs are more for the sound of the CPAP, because DH almost never snores anymore. (and he was a snoring BEAST, it was horrid before he was diagnosed with apnea and got the machine)
