I've been thinking about them more lately, thinking that one day I'd like to do one, as a special once-in-a-lifetime type of gift.

There's a couple I know I'd love to do:

Cleveland Indians Baseball Fantasy Camp - You spend an entire week working out, getting instruction, playing games, etc. with many of the old ball players from the Indians at their Spring Training facility in FL. It's a full week and, IIRC, the championship game is actually played back in Cleveland in the summer on Jacobs' Field :cool1:

Texas Hold'em Fantasy Camp -- I think it's 4 days, where you play and learn from pro poker players and then play in tournaments with the other campers for actual prize money.

Cooking School -- I forget where I've seen this, but one of the nearby resorts had a package where you spent 4 or 5 days in classes, learning a number of different cooking techniques, just like you were at a culinary school.

Anyone else thought of doing something like this?

Not me, but I know my husband would love the fantasy baseball camp. I've never looked into it. Out of curiosity, any idea what the cost is?

I would love to do the one that Chrissy Evert has here in Florida, it's a weekend of great tennis!

I've always wanted to go to Mets Fantasy Camp. I haven't checked prices in a long time.

Oh this is completely different from what I thought this thread was about

My Dad is or was looking into some sort of cooking school in Tuscany sponsored through William-Sonoma

I would love to do something like that. Didn't the Disney Institute used to offer that type of program? Along with many other dream type deals? They should bring that back

A guy I work with went to a fantasy camp, it was an adult film actors fantasy camp. It had male and female want-to-be actors mixing it up with famous adult film actors for a week. The moron paid almost $10,000 for it. I couldn't do it myself, I don't think I could measure up.
