I have to go with the more expensive option because I just can’t book restricted and have non-refundable full payment. So, that’s the Deluxe Oceanview.

They have available:

Forward: deck 6,7,8

As it’s above Vibe, I doubt that’s for me as I need the quietest room possible,

Deck 7 - Rooms 7004, 7002, 7000 and 7502. These have slanted walls and are not especially close to elevators (good)

Deck 8: room 8002 and 8502
These have slanted walls and are not especially close to elevators (good)

Midship;

Deck 2: too many rooms available to list, but they have a few near elevators and some further away (but closer than on Decks 7,8 forward)

I like as much quiet as possible. Seasickness is generally not a problem; I did feel queasy on my first cruise, but that’s when we went through a tropical depression. I’ve never gotten seasick before on any kind of boat or ship

I’m going to try and book this today, so any help would be greatly appreciated !

Thank you!

We stayed in 8004 and absolutely loved it! We have also stayed in 5020 and were a little concerned about the noise from kids coming and going from Vibe but it was never an issue. We had booked 7004 without concern of Vibe since it is 2 floors down but unfortunately had to cancel that trip.

It seems like the rooms on 7 and 8 would all be comparable. For those it would come down to if you prefer higher or lower decks, but 1 deck really wont make that much of a difference. For deck 2 it comes down to how close you are willing to be to the elevators. I can say, we once had a room, right inside the entry way from the elevator/stairs and had no outside noise that we noticed, so I would think being even a bit further away shouldn't cause an issue. Of course, all it takes is 1 loud neighbor, or group of people in your area to cause noise, so it may be hard to predict. Good luck!

Thank you! I feel good about 7 or 8 …I’m so sorry you had to cancel your trip.

Am I missing the portholes?

Yeah, 7 or 8 seem fine - I haven’t cruised often enough to know if I prefer higher or lower, but like you said, it’s one deck - doesn’t matter much

I think 2 is out - for just that reason. I’m not worried about seasickness, but I would worry about noise

Thank you!

It is a small porthole and the curtains were closed. Here are some better pictures. That is the Alien popcorn bucket to help you with perspective.

The rooms all the way up front are huge - We estimated them to bee over 300 sf and even though the walls slant it doesn't detract from the room. Hubby is 6'4" and he had no issues in the room

thank you! That’s fine for me - most of the day I’ll have awesome ocean views on deck..

I’ve read great things about 8002, but it’s a connecting room, and that concerns me re: noise

I've stayed in connecting rooms before and haven't noticed anything different than a regular room.

We just sailed in 9000 on the fantasy. Fantastic ocean view cabin and totally quiet. We also sailed in 7004 on the fantasy. It was fine. I would not pick that cabin myself, but was fine for an OGT.

We were on the Dream in 7002 (same configuration with the slanted wall).
-We could store our suitcases on the other side of the couch and still had room to walk around them.
-Yes to split bath (rectangular tub)
-Not too close or too far from the elevators.
-Muster Station was in the top level of The Walt Disney Theatre
-Laundry room was just a few doors down, and we took advantage of that convenience.
-Room was a connecting one but only heard a child yell once.
-We sailed out of NYC, and that section of the ship really rattled when leaving the NY harbor. We met someone in the cabin above us, and she said the same.

Except for the rattle, it sounds like a hidden gem.
Our muster station is always on deck 4 and we seem to have low sun in our eyes every time.
Relaxing in the WD Theater sounds dreamy.

If I pick my own room, I’ll always try and pick a room with WDT muster station. It is so much nicer.

We tend to choose a starboard side balcony. We stopped attending the Pirate Night party but we enjoy watching fireworks from there.
