Found on the boards today some new info about the 5 k Check out the thread and the blog!
Ooh, fun! Thank you for the link. After 10 days in Orlando pre-cruise, I'm hoping to adapt to the hot weather by then... I usually run in sub-freezing temperatures.

My board name: biff423

Biff was my husbands nickname in college and 423 is my birthday

Something no one knows about me:
My husband and I have matching tattoos and mine is on my rear (which is why no one knows about it).

A bit of news from our camp - after having our house in Nebraska on the market for 24 months (ugh) it looks like we finally have it under contract. We are victims of the housing crisis and it will unfortunately be a short sale as home values have plummeted in the little town of Fremont, but we will be so relieved to close that chapter in our lives. We have stayed current on the payments and been making two mortgage payments for 2 years now (double ugh). It will be complete shock to our bank account when we suddenly don't have that extra expense.

...there seems to be a tattoo contingent here in our group!

I have three total.

Susan has two (but I didn't tell you that....).

Here is the name tag template my cousin helped me figure out how to upload a file and get it on the web and to share it with a link!

Feel free to use these or not just thought I'd share what I had come up with.

Name Tags

Would love to see what others come up with as I am a basic level user of photoshop so I'm sure others will be able to do more intricate work.

Amy :)

Those look great! It's funny I've been thinking about trying to do something like this for a few weeks. This looks much better than anything I could come up with. One question - would we want to add our real first name or not. I normally don't like name tags but in this case I think it's a good idea. Although I'm fine with being called Pirategirrrl ;) pirate:

I sent you a private message-----I cannot find an emailed pic anywhere, and I'm anxious to get this handled for you! Please email your pic(s) to: dizdaddy@hotmail.com.

This is an open invite to anyone!!! Feel free to send your pic to me, and I will get it posted for you, no problem!!!

I do ask that you let me know on the boards here that you sent the email, only because I check that mailbox very infrequently!

Ummmmm....how many days??????

Tony (DizDaddy)

Thanks for the offer to post photos, I have emailed one to you. ;) I wouldn't know where to start myself. :confused3

ok all.....most of you had talked with me on here for several months and know that I am happy, excited, helpful, sarcastic and friendly. I hope I have never been mean or angry to someone......BUT...yeah there is always a butt there and usually it's mine and it's BIG!:)

So, there is a thread I found today on the front page of the forums

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2905248

about the POO PROBLEM IN THE MICKEY POOL!!!:scared:

Ok, so most people have said it's due to the un-potty trained kids, no age limit, people bringing their un-potty trained kids in the pool and BAM! Mickey's your Uncle...you've got a Mr. Hankey Floater!:scared1: Clear out the pool, bring on the yellow haz-mats and now pool's closed for hours.

Besides the fact that I am fully grossed out about myself or children being in said pool before the little floater is discovered....is this really and truly a problem...or a thread/board issue blown out of control??

I had to answer back on the board...my first angry post ever!:sad2: I know there are several previous crusiers on here...would you mind please sharing your floater/non floater stories....pool age limits etc....if I see a 9 month old being taken into the pool, can I tattle or is it time to jump the heck out?? Is it already a sess pool with people peeing in it??? uggghh I am so grossed out right now!

I'm a mom, I deal with poo and all other body functions on regular basis and I am not a pansy about it (let's not mention when grandma lived here on Hospice!:scared1:) yeah I am not a pansy...but when it comes to my kids having to miss out or be exposed, we have a whole perfect storm of angry bager here! :rolleyes1

Thanks guys, sorry for the rant! little bit of psyco panic attack...oh yeah and being married to Mr. Serve Safe :lmao: (IE: professional Executive Chef) doesn't help one bit! I know all the "yuck" carried by human, uh, waste......

Thanks, I think you could do either, or both whichever you prefer. If you rather not have a real first name out there for all to see, use your screen name, if you don't care then have it on there. Its a template and you can modify based on what you prefer. :)

Since my Screen name is so long, I will put my first name on there instead and then put something like "DIS Member" so I can be noticed as a dis board group member.

Sorry, I am being lazy & can't find the fish extenders list without too much effort. My wife is wanting to work on it & needs the list. Can somebody please point me to it. Thanks.

Reason 437 why our holiday cannot come fast enough:

This is what we woke up to today:

And for those who are wondering, yes, the buses are still running and it's business as usual up here. Although my husband wanted to make a snowman in the middle of the street so the cars couldn't get into or out of our crescent. Ever seen the Calvin and Hobbes cartoon about snowmen? :rotfl2:

To think that two days ago I was outside wearing shorts and a t-shirt! Haha... I knew it was too good to be true. Five weeks until we'll be in Orlando!

Sometimes I think when people go on vacation, especially an expensive Disney cruise, they feel like the rules no longer apply, and they are going to do and experience everything. Ya know, to heck w everyone else's experience. Sorry if that makes anyone on here mad, but we all know we've seen it. Disney tends to be a little lax in their rules so yes people put their un potty trained kid in the pool and floaters happen. Yes its gross. There is no reason for this to be happening either. The rule is no un trained kids in the pool and its a cdc rule. It would be a more pleasant experience for everyone if we all follow the rules. Forget about if you say something. If looks could kill.... I just stay out of the pools and tend to keep the kids out too. I think w how crowded the pools are and w the aqua duck I won't have to fight w mine this time. They will stay out of the pool.
