I've just finished packing our suitcases. We are doing pre and post cruise stays so each of us has a 29" checked bag. I tried to keep the weight to 40 lbs each. DH threw his back out last week working on a model car kit. He is still uncomfortable so I guess I will do the DME checked bags to the All Star Music resort, DCL baggage handling from resort to port, and then hope by the end of the cruise he is better. I am getting a car service from home to airport on Friday, so he doesn't have to lift any heavy bags. I might have to sleep on the sofa bed on the cruise, if he is still uncomfortable in the queen. Just have to make him happy so he is not grumpy.

Well, Cheryl, I've been to Florida many many many times. Today (Wednesday), it has rained more than I've ever seen here. It's crazy. Lots of thunder and lighting so close you look down at your feet to see if they are singed!!! Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.

**for those who are Driving to the Port**

Please keep an eye out on the news Friday night and Saturday Morning. In today's rain storm a lightening strike has started a wild fire that has affected SR 528 between Route 1 and Route 95. This may have an affect on the road being open or closed. Please keep this in mind and be prepared for an alternate route.

UPDATE: We have arrived!!!! We are staying in a six bedroom vacation home with private pool, etc. Beautiful place to stay, and it's cost is approx. $130/night for 14 people!!! Crazy, no?

I've misplaced our FE holder I've turned my house upside down and still haven't found it. If it is still lost when we go to leave, my friend said we could borrow theirs. Just wanted to let everyone know if you see Vickers family on our FE, it is us

i'm here as well. my parents drove to TN from UT and arrived yesterday so i've been distracted. we are about 80% "gathered" but nothing is in bags yet. we leave tomorrow night for macon, ga then on to florida on friday. so glad we aren't getting up and leaving, i need all day to wrap my head around it AND maybe i'll be able to sleep a bit tonight, lol! we are in a 3 car caravan, should be fun!

just a quick heads up, there are 10 of us in our party, we will all have our bright green disbands on and i plan to carry the wristbands on so, if you see us, come get them if you want!

so excited and yet tho i should be getting ready, i'm frozen and sitting here, lol!

i *think* we are staying at the radisson? it has a stay and sail deal and an really cool pool, lol! dh booked it so i'm not sure where it is exactly. i more meant at the port waiting to board or just roaming the ship prior to the 3pm meet up. please feel free to write our cabin # down and text me if i don't show up, lol! i'm totally known for losing track of time and since i'm the most social of the ten of us i'm the only one who will be watching the clock at all, lol!

ok so...WHAT in the world is "fishlips"?!?!? do i need to make plans to go there friday night?

Fishlips is a restaurant that is along the canal that the ships sail out of. Its pretty good from what I have heard. We usually go to Rusty's which is near Fishlips. Haven't tried Fishlips yet.

Since we leave early tomorrow morning and I don't think I'll be on the boards again before the cruise ... AMY!

I can relate to the "being frozen" thing. Am sitting her instead of packing! Everytime I think of fitting all the "stuff" in my living room into the 5 little bags I start to .

Still need my mani/pedi but at this pace, may have to book one on the ship.

Today has been a rainy bismal day all around here in Orlando. but I'm hoping tomorrow will be better. Pack the ponchos and keep on touring. Just try and avoid lightening.

We go to Rusty's too but this trip we are staying home and driving in Saturday morning so no Rusty's this trip. Enjoy it for us too!

Hopefully you will find your Fish Extender I thought we had lost ours but we found it luckily!

Safe travels I wish I could pack like you! For the two of us we are up to 6 bags LOL but that is 1 for FE and toiletries, the other for the formal/semi formal clothes. and then 2 bags each for clothes/shoes and miscellaneous items.

Yeah we are overpackers for sure. So if you forget something we probably have it LOL

Kai got a rash on his upper lip from drinking this funky sports drink. It looks like a moustache. Last night he helped himself to my razor and tried to "shave".....oh my goodness! Came out with a bloody lip. So.....if you see him and he has a bit of a scar, you now know why!! His hair is also super duper short. Normally I buzz it but Joni took him in and got it cut at a 1 . Still a cute boy - rash, bald and bloody but cute!

Poor Kai I'm sure he'll be fine hopefully his battle scars won't last too long and will be cleared up before the end of the trip! There are days I wish I could buzz my hair but I definitely wouldn't be cute LOL but I"m sure Kai's is definitely cute. Boys are lucky in that respect!

Yeah still working on packing here. But all the FE stuff is in their goody bags will just have to wait until we get on the ship to finish them and tie them closed. Doing our last bit of laundry now, and then we can finish the packing.

I can't believe that its 2 days away. I don't know if I am or about that fact. But it won't matter as come Saturday we will be relaxing and looking forward to some time
