Fantasy- 7 night Western- August 4, 2012

I just bought all the supplies I need for a dry run at making one of the FE gifts I have in mind for the kids on the trip. I just hope it turns out as good as the pictures I've seen of it on Pinterest. I'll give you all one hint: some of the supplies came from the hardware store. Hmmmmm. ;)

OOoooooo, sounds intriguing! Can't wait to see!

I am super curious. You will have to post a picture after the cruise is over

I am super curious too!

I was going to get going on my FE's a million times. But life has been busy! I think now I will wait till the kiddos get out for school and we can do it together! They only have 8 school days left! They are getting out really early this year and I am super psyched. We'll get a chance to hit the lake and do some camping before we start are crazy June schedule!

The kids are pretty pumped. Although there are 8 days left, DS has a lot of fun things. Today is their class trip, bowling, pool and lunch. Next week they work the grade school fun day. They run the concession stand to raise money for their 8th class trip. Next Friday is their Falcon Fun day. Each quarter, if they maintain eligibility, they get to take off for the day with their class and do something fun (ice skating, roller skating, movies, that kind of thing.) And of course, they never do anything the last couple of days of school.... so.... he's pretty much done!

DD has track regionals so will miss a day too. She has a couple of senior classes, and graduation is this weekend, so she is pretty much done with those classes. She'll have a fun relaxing week too. Wow. I can't believe school is almost over!

That means..... THE FANTASY IS GETTING CLOSER AND CLOSER!!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

This weekend is going to be nuts. We have graduation and 6 graduation parties to attend. It's going to be fun but a little insane! We are really going to miss these seniors!

Have a great weekend all!:goodvibes

Checking in after we pay in full! It is good to see that the board is getting more active now. Looking forward for the FE fun
:yay:

Good morning.

We checked on our reservations last night and made a few adjustments. DH had to cancel some scuba as he has just had some surgery on his bowel and has been advised not to dive for at least 6mths...a real shame as DH was really looking forward to it. Instead we have booked a family excursion. We also have a Palo brunch, a dinner and a Remy booking so am really thrilled. kids are also booked into BBB for pirate makeovers LOL

The cruise will be upon is in no time, and really can't wait to be back on the fantasy, she really os a beautiful ship

So sorry to hear that DH can't dive this trip. What family excursion are you all doing? It sounds like you have a lot of fun plans!:beach:

This is going to be a fun and busy weekend. We have tons of graduation parties to attend and of course, graduation itself. My DD and I went to see the final band and choir concert last night. It was so much fun and the kids did such a great job. It was really sad to see the seniors saying goodbye though. Lot's of tears!

The cool thing was, there theme was blockbuster movie songs. They show was like the Academy Awards. They had a red carpet and all of the kids dressed in evening gowns and tuxes. The band played from Pirates of the Caribbean. The women's choir sang the I won't say I'm in Love song from Hercules! They knocked it out of the park! It was soooo cute! And of course, the grand finale was songs from The Lion King. What a great night for the kids, me and DD! Woo Hoo Disney!:earboy2::simba:

Have a great weekend all!

Hello!

My DD9, Lily, is looking for a shipmate to spend some time with. Boy or girl - she gets along with both the "Barbie" crowd and rollicking in the pools.

She is an "only" kid, and she deserves and wants to spend some time with friends exploring all the new ship has to offer.

Hopefully, we can Skype and email back and forth so we will arrive at the pier already knowing each other. We are staying in Cocoa Beach the night before, too.

Thanks! PM me or just post here and I'll PM you!

We have booked the turtle farm and dolphin experience in grand cayman as this is one the kids wanted to do.....and in the last 4 cruises, they haven't got off the ship except at CC....so we jumped at the chance of them wanting to step foot on another land:rotfl2:

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the mother's here. I hope everyone had a great day . Mine was wonderful DH and DD took me out to eat and gaveme a great gift. But the best gift of all was that the day was spent without any bickering or fighting about anything..:)

Happy Mother's day to you too! We had a great day although most of it was spent with Graduation and Graduation parties. At least I got to be with my wonderful family!:)

Time is ticking down, and I'm getting more excited and the days grow closer. How about everyone else. My dh has 17 more days of school then she is out for the summer. This week she has EOG testing, lots of pressure for children now a days. What happened to good old exams..LOL

Does anyone have boys around my sons' ages that will be on this cruise?

#1 will have just turned 12 & will be entering 6th grade. He likes sports, sports & more sports, video games, HP, Hunger Games, plays the drums.....

#2 will have just turned 10 & will be entering 4th grade. He is another sports fanatic & is a funny, funny kid.

They both had fun at the kids club when we took them on CCL. I'm hoping they will meet some buddies & enjoy DCL's clubs too.

Yes, we are getting very excited too. We just got our dive fins in yesterday! :cool1: Caribbean here we come!

What's EOG testing?

My daughter is giving her speech final today on standardized testing. Her arguments were very compelling against it! Kids are pretty wise sometimes!:goodvibes

It's charged to your account. I don't think they charge your account until the cruise starts.

So when I go on the web site to to check on excursions if I find one that I want I have to pay for it in full if it is available then? I know if I wait until we sail that everything on the boat is charged to my room and paid when we dock at the end of the cruise. I am kind of interested in paying for everything ahead of time if possible.

When your window opens up to book, you book what you are interested in doing. I don't think you can pay for these in advance. I believe they are charged to the credit card that you put on account, once your on the cruise. If you have cash or gift cards you can go to guest services and have that added to your account. I am pretty sure that they will use OBC, gift cards and cash before they charge any balance to your credit card.

Also when your window opens port excursions can be booked starting at midnight. Your on line check in begins at 3:00 am. This is where you get your port arrival time. You need to have flight information, hotel information and credit card handy for check in.

Hi Cruisers!

We'll be sailing with you on August 4th- we booked it onboard last year when we sailed to Alaska in July and I actually started a thread for it as soon as we got back but I don't think it became a sticky...couldn't find it when I came to check anyway! Decided not to start posting until we paid up in full and were definitely going as we have a busy Summer ahead-moving house in June and my husbands job involves a lot of travel, often at short notice, and our vacation plans tend to get moved around a lot....Well its all paid for now so we're definitely going and I can start planning!

For the first time ever (and this is our fourth cruise) I got to log on at 5am (midnight for you guys) and the site didn't crash...I got to book a Palo brunch for the first sea day and a Palo dinner for the last sea day and even though I had to wait 3 hrs before being able to check in online I got my pick of port arrival times. 11 and 11.30 were still available but since I'm not in a rush to get onboard to book Palo I opted for 12.00 so we have a little more time to get to Port Canaveral. We're spending a few days in WDW first.

I just booked one excursion as I really haven't researched them and we did so much on our last 2 cruises (7 day Alaska and 11 day Med Cruise the year before) that we just want to chill on this one and enjoy the new ship. May book more as the Summer goes on but am just pleased to have the Cruise to look forward to at this stage.
Would also like to join the FE as we had so much fun doing it last year.

Counting down the days! :yay::yay:::yay:

Siobhan.

Welcome! I am so with you. I just want to chill too. I only have one excursion booked while my family has more because I want to relax and enjoy the ship.
