Fantasy- 7 night Western- August 4, 2012

Hi,
Been mia for awhile like mum, sooooooo:
:welcome: to everybody since my last post :)
Soooooooooooooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CAN'T WAIT :hourglass
Just got to last the rest of the year first :teacher:

:) Sophie

So glad to have you back! I hope that the rest of your year is FABULOUS!:goodvibes

99 days and we are paid in full:cool1:
Trying to talk DH into the secret river

WOOO HOOO! Paid in full is the BEST feeling!:woohoo:

The secret river does sound like fun!

Happy planning!

98 days!!!!!!

One more payment for us:woohoo: Could of had it paid off this week, but DH wanted to go ahead and book the flights instead so that we could all be seated together for the trip. I so ok I can wait 2 more weeks, it will be hard though... As for excursions DH wants to go diving in the GC, I guess the DD and I will probably to the sea turtle farm, that the way we are leaning anyway. Really haven't made up our minds about the other places yet.:confused3

Hi everyone, I've put all the details I have received so far into the FE spreadsheet. :surfweb:

IceSk8ersMom - I can't find a PM from you, maybe because I was offline for so long when you sent it, please could you resend it? Thanks so much.

So far I have the following 9 families on the FE list:

familytravel
Ramule
karriemouse
Sunshineminnie
Elfinjojo
stacyk9
IceSk8ersMom
Nancydisney
sthissell

Probably the best way to distribute the list is via email, so please could you contact me on karen@bracegirdle.uk.net and I'll send out what we have so far. You can then see a) the participants we have and b) and information which is missing!!

If your name is not above and you would like to join in (I think several families are still thinking about it) then please do either contact me via pm or email with your names, ages of children, cabin number, favourite characters and any allergies anyone may have.

Thinking of a deadline for joining: what about three weeks before the cruise - 14th July. That should accommodate both those joining late and those making items (and those that, like us, leave for vacation a while before the cruise!). If you don't think this will work for you, please let me know.

Hope that's all OK!

Much excitement, we're paid in full and have booked the Palos and DCL excursions we want! :dance3:
Have booked the Cozumel Highlights tour (DH and I wanted to see the Mayan ruins but the longer tours were voted off by the girls so this is a compromise!) and the Dune Buggy Safari on Costa Maya. On Grand Cayman we want to just generally explore and go to the turtle farm, so we'll do this one via taxi or hire a car. :cheer2:

You are close!

The turtle farm sounds like fun and your DH will LOVE diving at GC!

WOO HOOO! I am glad you got all of the reservations you wanted! Dune buggies sound fun!

My booking window opens next week. I hope that there is something left!:roll eyes: How did you decide when you wanted to book Palo? I know that the animator's shows aren't to be missed. Do you have any other advice? (How do you know which nights you have which restaurants? )

Happy Planning EVERyONE!

Hi if it helps to plan your Palo/Remy bookings, the restaurant rotations on the western MVand following week cruise worked out like this.

First three nights were the restaurants key nights,

ie: animators - crush show
Royal Court - French cuisine
Enchnated garden - garden Market cuisine

Then there was the prince and princess menu, Pirates, captains gala and then til we meet again.

I am not sure you can find out your rotation order until you board.

The second time you dine in animators(or last if you land 3 animators) will be the new animation show which is great. ours was on the last night of the cruise part 2.

Our rotation for the MV was AERAERA
A-crush show
E-Garden menu - Formal Night(day at sea)
R-French menu
A-Prince/Princess
E-pirates menu
R - Captains Gala -semi formal
A - Til we meet again - animation show

2nd week was ERAERRA so again the animation show was on the last night.

Hope this helps someone.

Oh and if you haven't experienced Remys you really must!

Has anyone narrowed down their port excursions? I want to do at least one ruin. But I have to say I am worried about the temperatures!

There are so many choices, but we are doing the following excursions: My DH and BIL are golfing in the Grand Cayman; we are all exploring the ruins of Chacohoben Maya in Costa Maya, and my DH, DD, and BIL are going to Xplor Park in Cozumel. We are doing all excursions through DCL.

I know it will be hot at the ruins, but it will be a chance to burn off all that yummy food! We will just take plenty of waters.

I will get you the staterooms ASAP.

This is what we are doing. We have second seating, so I made our Remy dinner reservations at 6. This allows us the opportunity to dine again to see the shows at Animator's Palate if we choose to do so.

Thank you for the 411. I'm glad to hear your positive review of Remy. I cannot wait to have dinner there!

What about the show schedule in the Walt Disney theater?

Congrats to all of you, who are paid in full! Oh, what a feeling! :thumbsup2

It looks like the excitement is buidling on our thread. I am enjoying reading some of the first Fantasy trip reports. It sounds like the ship is amazing. In reagrd to spa treatments, my DH and I decided to do the romantic spa villa treatment. We did it awhile ago on the Magic, and it was fabulous, but with the new villas on the Fantasy, I can only imagine how fabulous the experience is now; it is probably to die for. What spa treatments are you doing?

I think JoJo answered this question better than I ever could, thanks so much for all this information!!

Our decision is usually very simple, we are not really 'into' the pirate dinner (but love the fireworks and enjoy the party), so if we can we book Palo for Pirate Night and the girls are happy to go to the dining room alone and be treated like princesses by the servers!

I've also booked the High Tea for Sophie and Andy as a Daddy/Daughter treat! Eleanor and I plan to spend that hour going round and round the Aquaduck - quack. :donald:

I did a spa treatment last year on the Dream. I am skipping it this time because I want to try Goofy golf and ride the Aquaduck more than once.

Our family of 4 is sailing on this cruise
Myself
DH
DS, age 12
DS, age 10

We have been on several cruises, but this is our first Disney cruise.

Do very many people dress up as pirates on pirate night???

I was thinking the same thing. I think that it's really starting to feel real for everyone!

I am not sure I am doing a spa treatment. I am skeptical because I have heard so much about the "hard sell" at the end. I really don't want to end a spa treatment with that. What has your experience been?

I was going to check with DD and see if she is interested in the Chill Spa. Has anyone heard much about it?

High Tea for Sophie and Dad sounds wonderful! Of course, so does the Aquaduck!

Do you know if you can see the Pirate night fireworks from the aft balconies? I love fireworks, and will go up top to see them, but hanging out on our verandah sounds great if we will for sure see them.

You will LOVE, LOVE, LOVE cruising with the mouse!

I am very clear at the beginning that I am there to relax, and I am not there to purchase product. After that, there is no discussion.

We are getting ready for prom. DD is enjoying her day of beauty. Is anybody else getting ready or going to prom? Post a picture so we all can enjoy it. I will post one later. Talk to you soon.

Hmmm..... have you they ever tried to sell you when you have said that?

Prom!!!! How fun. I hope she has a great time. DD is a sophomore and her guy a freshman, so no prom this year. Most her buds went though. They were all so pretty! It's so fun seeing them all dressed up when it's usually basketball shorts and ponies!

Can't wait to see the pic!
