Well, four weeks today we will hopefully be on board ready for our very first Disney cruise!! So excited! I've been saving posts from this forum for months and have been rereading them as well as looking everyday for new items. Reading a different forum today someone was asking about best weeks to cruise so there's less children and someone said they had sailed on Magic early September in the past and while there were less children it had the knock on effect of making the adult pool very busy - and with rude annoying people!! Now that's got me worried! We are young(ish) seniors who picked this week as we were already scheduled to be in Orlando from the UK and it was a good price!

Should I be worried? I was hoping that the adult pool area would be quiet!!

We'll be on the Fantasy on the 5th as well! There are 19 of us - 12 adults and 7 kids ages 18 months - 15 years

I've only been on one cruise (January 2014 on the Magic) but I can say that in general both pool areas stayed crowded pretty much all the time. They're just not very big, so it doesn't take many guests to make it feel cramped. It didn't ruin our cruise or anything. If you like hot tubs, check into getting a Rainforest Room day pass. It's only $16 for all day and there are 2 hot tubs on a private deck overlooking the ocean. I've heard that they're generally not too crowded!

Adult pool can be busy yes... but I have not encounted any rude people there in 13 cruises. There is a bit of sun chair hogging which some feel is rude. Do not worry and have a great cruise.

No need to be worried. We have found the adult pool area to be very nice no matter the time of year. By the 5th (Labor Day weekend) there are indeed likely to be fewer kids on the ship, but as DISNEY FANTASY noted, we have not encountered rude people either.

I promise to inspect all aspects of the Fantasy during the week leading up to your fabulous cruise.

Seriously, you are going to have a truly magical time.

There were people but I never felt crowded or couldn't find a chair (and I am very picky and need lots of shade, I always found chairs and shade). There were kids and families on the ship but I heard it wasn't as busy as what it can be in the summer. We are cruising on the same sailing again and really looking forward to the trip. Thank you! That sounds good to me! I know it will be busier round the pool the day at sea - previous Mediterranean cruises we have done (not Disney) it's been very busy but other days manageable. I'm sure there's lots of other things besides sunbathing to keep us busy!
