the week of June 10th we're doing a 7 day cruise, the cruise is for my daughters graduation gift, the 11th is my bday, the 15th is her bday! Any suggestions on how to make this trip really special?? Secrets to share ??

Perhaps one of the room decoration packages from the gifts and amenities page? A spa day if your DD is old enough... Palo brunch, too!

We did 4 cruises in 2016 to celebrate birthdays. :)
Here are some of the things I did to make them different from the average cruise.

Husbands 50th:
1. surprised him with a specialty cake. (Side note.... I did not get the order in on time and so I arranged for one from Guest services the day we boarded so it did not have his name on it or anything like the special ordered cakes do)
2, I bought a room decoration package which was really cool and they hold up really well.
3. Swedish massage
4. Grooming and shave

For my daughters 15th:
1. Cake that I ordered in the required time (very well done and worth the price I thought)
2. Mani/ Pedi at Chill spa
3. A sleep in , do whatever she wanted day with no nagging from me to get up and get moving. ( I think that was her favorite)
4. A few items from the gift shop onboard that she had pointed out on a previous cruise

For my 50th birthday: My husband ordered a cake...it was a total surprise and I had no idea he even knew how to order one. :) The cruise itself was a surprise as well so there was that. Well, it was supposed to be a surprise, but I found out. lol

For my sons 14th birthday:
1. Star Wars room decorations that he loved (it came with a pillow and blanket which I am thinking I will "borrow" as the blanket is so soft.
2. Special cake ordered ahead of time...yes, I learned my lesson well on that one
3. Items from the stores onboard that I knew he would love
4. Stingray Adventure at CC with just the two of us. We had done it before, but he really enjoyed it so we did it again.
5. The cruise itself was earmarked for his birthday celebration.

I think the best gift you are giving her is to sail and celebrate those special times. But I like to check out the gifts and amenities page to see if there is anything new or different.

Tell your servers too, or better yet, if there is a third person in your party, have THEM tell your servers, so it can be a surprise for both of you. Even if you don't buy anything extra, they will make a big deal about the birthdays, and offer to bring you extra desserts and other complimentary things you might want. It was a fun environment.

Is she 18+? If she is... 18+ restaurants Remy (they tend to add gifts when you celebrate something) & Palo are amazing.

Get the 'magical moment' and 'happy birthday' buttons from Guest services! They're free and you'll get extra attention from CMs and other guests!

Have the celebrations noted on your cruise reservation. We've done this in the past and the celebration has always been noted by the staff on our celebration day.
