I am wondering if they are extending the 10 percent deposit due or is it the full 20 percent?? Thank you in advance for your time and help!!

They are quoting a 10% deposit today. I called for a quote without the OBB since my TA was taking care of that just so I had an idea about the pricing. The cruise at 5662.60 had a deposit of 533.40.

SERIOUSLY??? An inside for $7K??? That is definitely ridiculous!

UPDATE: Called back and said yes on the 8/9 date. We'll see if we actually go....Had to pay another $118 dollars for the deposit.

Don't know what to do!!! Hoped it was comparable but not as much as I thought. Really want the first date cause it includes my birthday and DH and I's 15th Anniversary....UGGG

3A(our DD will be 18 on this) $5370.36/2090.42 x 2/1189.52 for DD

Moved dummy date, so price with 10% off and tranferred our OBC from Disney of $200 for rebooking onboard.

Price was a lot higher than expected, but will most likely keep since we had this date planned for some time now. Our June 2012 5 night was only $3200, so almost $2000 more for 2 extra nights!

35 mins on hold this morning, called right at 6 am.

Holy cow, not sure I'm going to book that cruise now. That's really expensive. I can almost pull off a European vacation for that cost. We are looking at Cat 5B. Decisions decisions.

Agreed. I guess the problem is they backed themselves into a corner here. If they came out with more reasonable/competitive prices for 2014, everyone would be switching out of their 2013 cruises and they would have to significantly discount the 2013 cruises to fill them or risk them sailing half-empty. However, I find it hard to believe they really prefer this strategy of holding the line on these astronomical prices and filling up to 2/3 of the ship and then relying on offering heavy "last-minute" discounts to fill the remianing 1/3+ (i'm making the numbers up, but you get the idea).

My thinking is that the prices are a reflection of the current economy, not so much a strategy to hurt the customer

DCL is a business juat trying to make it like other businesses out there.

That said I am also in sticker shock as well

Would love another DVC special like they offered this past summer

There's only been a couple of examples given so far, but it seems that the Western itineraries with Jamaica seem to be priced higher than the other sailings.

The more I'm thinking about this the more I'm leaning towards taking my 2013 dummy and making it a 2014 dummy and seeing what 2015 brings. Once I include airfares, transfers, and everything else I'm looking at over 10K. That's just not acceptable.
