Hi I am KC2500 room 6012 and am part of the Christmas Cruisers. I am sorry I have not checked in for awhile. I did not realize I might get removed by not checking in. My family is looking forward to participating.

We haven't forgotten you and you're on our list still!!! We have a few extra things we are bringing too...so maybe a little pixie dust will be heading your way!!!

We didn't remove anyone except folks who hadn't checked in since February or before...so you are still in the Christmas Cruisers list...what I did was offer a last-log-in date so people could decide for themselves whether folks were cruising....while one person in your group decided you might not be on our cruise, I doubt everyone did...I know I am bringing gifts for two cabins that are iffy

As for MoMoney74, we are guessing she isn't cruising since she hasn't been on the boards in many many months and never offered a room number...hard to participate without that...

We are a quiet thread - with that in mind, you can post your info here for some pixie dust but so few people log into this group I am unsure how fruitful you will be...(we only had one or two folks join the thread after the FE lists were set)

If you did not formally sign up for a Fish Extender group for a gift exchange, you can "just pixie dust"....meaning you can randomly put little gifts in people's Fish Extenders....and sometimes if you say who it's from, they will "pixie dust" you back. There are people all over our ship participating in the exchange, so many may be pixie dusting as well.

Hi, just popping in... just trying to finish a lot of things at home- packaging up FE gifts, pulling out suitcases, cleaning/decorating the house for xmas. I know it's so early but I want and need it done before I go away and need to do it when I have time. Thankfully my sister is hosting Thanksgiving this year and I have Christmas. Also, working on xmas shopping...so much to get done so I can relax on the cruise and enjoy the holiday when we get back!!! See you real soon!

I'm glad to know I am not the only doing Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving. We will be working on our yard art tomorrow. I won't put on my Christmas tree and decorations until the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Just wanted to post these tips one more time:

IMPORTANT: there have been reports of items stolen from FE extenders, or the FE itself stolen...here are a few tips

• bring a zip tie and small scissors. Attached the FE to the fish with the zip tie...use the scissors to remove the FE before debarkation
• consider making your FE pockets close with velcro or zippers or some other fastener
• deliver gifts in the morning of sea days
• don't deliver gifts on port days when recepients may be off the ship and unable to empty the FE
• stop by your cabin often to empty your FE
• when giving large or high value gifts, knock and hand them directly to FE participants, no answer to the knock? repeat your visit until someone is in the cabin to answer the door
• tuck small items deep inside the FE pockets, if possible, to make them less visible
• some people have supported the use of a sign on the FE but I am unsure if it seems like a good idea... the sign says something like:
  • "Do you wonder what this is? This is a "Fish Extender" and it hold gifts exchanged between families. Sorry, these are not gifts for everyone, just the family in this cabin. You can participate by visiting www.disboards.com"

Just wanted to share to minimize disappointments....
