The plastic robots you build afterwards are cute, but there is no "variation" to them except for color. There is only one style of head, body arms and legs. They are snap together plastic pieces. Once put together they really aren't much "fun" except to maybe share pieces with siblings and put the colors together again differently.
The game you play before is fun, but it is all "virtual". You to to a computer and are talked through the process of creating your virtual robot. You have to pick different characteristics for it like strength, material, jump ability and things like that. If kids are nonreaders they will need help.
My kids had a great time! Just don't build it up to much for your kids.
Also, if your kids like video games there is another place with a video game where you compete against others. I think it is to the left of the fire engine, but I can't really remember. It is geared more to preschoolers, but anyone can participate. You are assigned a different classic Disney character on the computer and you race around a park trying to collect ice cream cones. We had a lot of fun with that one. Another bonus, there are chairs for parents to rest while the kids play.
