I have been seeing limited information on this show. Is this something that you have to pay extra for? seems that someone mentioned about having it in a Dinner Package? This show wasn't there in 2001, at least I don't think it was, that was our 1st and only trip. We are going Thanksgiving Week this year so I am checking out the boards getting in the mood...
:cool1:

Thanks
Glenn

If you have not seen Fantasmic is should be on your must see list. It is a water, fireworks spectacular. The dinner package for Fantasmic means they have reserved seating the the theater. But you can get your own meal and be there about 60-90 minutes before showtime and have good seats. It doesn't matter if you are right in the center of the theater, the sides off great views of the show. :cheer2:

You must go see this! It's wonderful, animation, music...spectacular! No extra cost, it's at MGM,. they do have dinner packages at certain restaurants...gives you a reserved seating area(not seat), still must get there early enough to get a good reserved seat, but as stated before, you can get there early enough, stand on line, and get a good seat yourself!
ENJOY!

Fantasmic is WONDERFUL! It's free... and oh so very DISNEY! It is done at MGM at the end of the day, in a huge outdoor ampitheater. There are live characters... adventure... fireworks and two huge fountains that become movie screens! It is not to be missed.

If you children are young... be aware there is a fairly long sequence of all the 'evil' Disney characters... so have something to distract them with at that time. (They sell spinny, twirlly, light up stuff everywhere after dark, but just a toy would probably do as well.) I would in NO WAY consider this a reason to miss this wonderful show.

The dinner package does not cost extra, but if you have dinner at one of the participating restaurants you get a 'ticket' for reserved seating at Fantasmic. That way you don't have to stand in line to get in, worry about getting a good seat or spend time sitting in you good spot to 'hold' it. We have always done it... the reserved section is near the center which gives you a nice centered view of everything going on. Just ask when you call (407)WDW-DINE to make your dinner reservations.

I think the only really bad seats are up too close to the front (our first time we got good seats up front... got COMPLETELY soaked and couldn't see the screens because we were too close & our glasses needed windshield wipers... I repeat don't sit too close to the front)!

Fantasmic is a must see !! You have to get there early though to get a seat. They fill up fast....even an hour and a half ahead of time!! Worth it!!
8 days to go !! woo hoo !!

AFAIC, Fantasmic is almost single-handedly worth the cost of admission for the park for the day.

We sat front row & center (on one of those smaller 3 or 4 person benches that they have) back in 2003. We didn't get wet (or have problems with our glasses, either). We did have to get there very early for these seats, and I thought we had a better view than we did a couple of weeks ago when we sat to the right side, a few rows up from the bottom.

I guess it depends on personal preference which seats are better.

Maybe sitting in the center is different. I didn't think about wherewe were in the front, until you posted but we were off to one side. So I'll amend...
dont' sit too close to the front on the sides!

I've done that for Summer/Spring Break but I'm wondering if that much time is necessary in early Dec, sure would be nice if 30 minutes or less would work - any experience on that?.....Greg
