Hi Everyone - Sorry if this topic has been covered before, but I need some advice. It's myself, DH and DS 3. We wanted to go to MGM one day (never been) and stay for Fantasmic. My questions are as follows:

1) In March, what time should we queue for the show.
2) Is it scary for a 3 year old (I know the 2004 guide says some kids are scared, some not so much).
3) Is it worth it to eat at the buffet before and get priority seating instead?

I know opinions will vary, and I want to know what everyone else's experience is. We hope to make it a full and fun day at MGM

My kids love this show. I think my youngest was 5 the first time she saw it. She was a little scared, but she was ok as long as she was on a lap. I don't know about the March crowd, but I would just que up about an hour before the show. We got a snack and sat and chatted with the people around us. Great fun!

My DD's have seen it at 21/2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and they weren't scared. However, a long day at the park means they were pretty pooped by 7:30. Sometimes one of them didn't make it so plan a nap if you can.

the 3ish year old sitting next to me loved it. As to crowds we were there Jan 15th and walked up 10 mins before and were sitting 20 rows back center section, there was no queue...the reserved section had maybe 100 people in it. Unless you are there during spring break week I wouldn't think crowds would be that great that you'd need to be there more than a 1/2 hour early at most. March isn't that much more popular than Jan. Just watch the crowds and ask the cms what it was like the night before. We asked if we needed to rush our dinner and our waiter just laughed at us. They know best.

it......we had to eat anyways....and love the Hollywood and Vine buffet......we had 8 in our party and the food was excellent.....the Fantasmic show was so outstanding .......the times we were there all sections were wall to wall people and standing room too.......I liked the idea of getting in the back door and not having to do it two hours beforehand......hope you enjoy yourselves

1). 30-40 minutes before showtime
2). If your child is scared of loud things, then yes. A good test would be MuppetVision or any of the other fireworks displays.
3).No, but that's just my opinion :)
