was wondering if our sons who are 15 and 20 would enjoy this show and also if you think they would, would you recommend doing the ADR's to save queuing and not getting in. We are also going with our parents who are in their 70's so unsure if they would enjoy it also.

My in laws who are in their late sixties really enjoyed this.

If your sons enjoy "shows" at WDW eg the firework displays and stage shows I can see no reason for them to not fully enjoy Fantasmic

I like to do the Dinner Package you refer to, mostly because I hate queueing and will do anything to avoid it! Plus it costs no more than a "normal" meal at any of those restaurants

they loved the illuminations at Epcot but my parents couldn't stand now and also my son since then is now in a wheelchair 24/7 so thought with this being a sit down show it would be good . What restaurants would you recommend and do you know how long in advance you can book these. think I read somewhere that there was 2 shows a day but unsure if this is my imagination

Ali yes I am sure there are 2 shows per day in "high" season, not sure if they are out on the published hours yet?

The restaurant we have eaten at and enjoyed for Fantasmic is the Hollywood Brown Derby which wasn't cheap but we had fantastic food service and atmosphere here - it is a little more formal than the other options though so it's not for everyone. If you prefer a buffer style meal I hear great things of the Hollywood & Vine for Fantasmic (I have eaten here but not for ages and it was breakfast not dinner).

It is always good to sit down for Fantasmic, though the seats are not the most comfy I have ever encountered (!) I would still aim to get there 30 mins before show start time I think even with the dinner package if you are going in high season.

Keep in mind that the Dinner Package seats (to avoid standing in line/waiting in the stadium) are way off to the side. They do offer a fine view, but if you want to have a view directly in the center, you'll need to move over. Not sure when you're travelling but I like to arrive 90 minutes early [which is when they start seating now (used to be 120 minutes early)]. I don't think I've met anyone who hasn't liked the show, however. It uses alot of mist-screens, Disney characters and movies, colorful fountains, etc. It truely is not-to-be-missed!

I think your family would enjoy fantasmic. I know I certainly did.

We have always used the dinner package and ate @ The hollywood & Vine which is a buffet style restaurant. There was lots of choice and food was lovely. The other 2 restaurant choices are the Brown Derby ( which is the most expensive I think) and Mama Melrose ( an Italian). Dh does not like italian.

I would recomment booking Adrs as soon as possible. They do tend to go quickly and you are unlikely to be able to walk up and get a reservation.

I beleive the dining package has meant more people are eating @ Wdw table restauarnts and Adrs are even more important. Especially if there is somewhere you really wanna eat!

when you book the dinner package have you got to sit down to a 3 course meal as it would be to much for some of us .

You can have as much or as little as you want!
You just pay the set amount if I remember it was around $24 I think?

Yes they paid a small fortune £1,300 but there wasn't a great choice, infact some wouldn't even quote but they so wanted to go

We are going in July, so when do you think the best time to book would be and sorry but how do you go about it. Of all the times we have been we have never done anything like this before. We quite like late lunches so would say a late lunch work in with the show.

It is dinner Ali, but if you went for an early one they start early enough by my standards to be called a late lunch, does that make sense?

Why not give them a ring now and ask? Or call Member Services and do it free through them!

hope this doesn't sound to stupid a question but am I right in thinking the frist show is about 7.30 ? so do you get the same affect if it is a laser show and it isn't dark (we go in July)

Just catching up with all this. I think the first show is about 8pm - I can't remember for sure - someone else will know

But we ate at 4.30 pm last year at Mama Melroses and watched the early showing. This was definately one of the highlights of our trip. So much so that it was my hubby who insisted that we do it again this year - he normally just leaves the planning to me.

Anyway I am sure you will all really really enjoy this.

my teenagers think it is BORING, so be warned. Though they have seen it twice. I love it by the way & I'm sure your in-laws will too.

If you are thinking of doing the package, which we have done bothe times. I'd recommend Hollywood & Vine, with it being a buffett. If your boys have big appetites like mine it will suit them best.
