Fantasmic -- yes or no

We have been going every year since my DD was 18 months old. She has always absolutely loved it. I remember the first time she saw it and everyone around us just laughed how she was so busy chatting and moving around before the show started and during the show she did not move an inch or say a word. She sat in total awe(?) watching the show. I am not even sure she actually blinked. That is all she talked about even for the next six months after we got home. It is a must every time we go. We always do the dinner package so we know that we will be able to have a seat. It does become standing room only.

My two absolutely ADORED Fantasmic. I mean they really, really, really loved it. They were 3 and 6 at the time. My daughter(3 then) STILL talks about it.

If you have sufficient doubts that your kiddo will simply be too scared, then please do skip it. One show is not worth the risk...you can always come back another time!

My DD2 absolutely loved this show, she loves all the characters and was floored by seeing so many in one place. My DD7, however, is quite the critic. She thought it was ok but said "they really, REALLY love that movies playing on the water effect, don't they?" When trying to decide whether to go again on our next trip with my parents, DD7 informed them "it's just movies played on water, a LOT." Despite her cynicism, I would say go, it's a pretty cool show.

We went last year a month after DD turned 4. Though she is not scared of much, she did not like Fantasmic and it is the one thing she said she does not want to do when we go back. Between the fire, the loud noises and the evilish looking Mickey, she was quite upset for a few days. Not to mention that was the only place in WDW we all got eaten by bugs.

Definitely do Fantasmic!!! I love that show. This is the only one that has characters and a storyline. Your DD will be handle it just fine. Sure there are villians but they are in every movie that she may have seen as well. It is very much worth your time to be able to watch this night time spectacular.
