Can anyone compare the drama/noise level of Fantasmic with Pirates of the Carribean or with the Haunted Mansion? DD2 did fine on the those rides at Disneyland last november at 18 months so I'm inclined to think she will be okay but didn't want to get into a theatre and then bother everyone within hearing range if we have to get out.

Thanks for this and all the other wonderful ideas and advice that is on this board. :earsgirl:

We took DS to Fantasmic when he was a little over 2. He did fine. I think the worst part was trying to keep him occupied while waiting for the show to start. When we go this September, we will take DD and she will turn 2 on our trip. DS is now 7 and is asking to go see it.

We took dd when she was 22 months old and she loved it, we sat up int he front row and sat right at the opening of the ropes and that was the hardest was keeping her occupied while waiting for the show to start, but she loved seeing things from front row but got a little chilly formt he water spraying and wind plowing this was back in early march though! :)

I hesitated about bringing my 2 year old to this after all I read about how intense it was and how it might scare little ones but since I also have an 7 & 9 year old who wanted to see it we decided to give it a try thinking if it got to be too much one of us would take her out.

I will also say that she did not like fireworks -I had to hold her ears and she cuddled in to me big time for Wishes a couple nights before Fantasmic. She had no problems with noise or intensity on HM or POC...in fact the only thing she did not like at WDW was Mickey's Philharmagic (my 7 year old did not like this either) --the 3d was too real and too much stuff flying at her, it helped taking the glasses off but by then she was wrecked!

But I am happy to say she really enjoyed the show. She did not seem scared or overwhelmed in the least! We did do the Fantasmic dinner package at Hollywood & Vine so we did not have to wait as long since I KNEW she could not sit still for an extended period of time with nothing to pay attention to! Good Luck!

Our ds enjoyed it at 23 mos. Like the pp's said, the hardest part was waiting for the show to start. If you're going during a busy season one way to minimize the wait is by doing the Fantasmic! Dinner package - just a thought. Once the show started though he was enthralled. He also really enjoyed PotC immensely but most often fell asleep in HM (that was the greatest ride to go on when he needed a nap, LOL!).

One tip if you do go - bring something to cover up with because the water can spray quite a bit - even if you're not in the very front "wet zone" rows. Even if the day has been warm, it can get chilly at night.

This show is our entire family's favorite and we saw it the first time when the baby was about 3, he loved it. The only way we will do it now is the Fantasmic Dinner Package, I would strongly reccomend checking into that, especially with a little one. The show is awesome don't miss princess:

Thank you all for the advice. We leave tomorrow nite and we will be doing the H & V dinner package. I'm so excited about going that I'm almost enjoying the laundry and packing I have to finish.
