Fantasmic! vs. Paint the Night Dining Hypothetical

We are going to DLR in January, with 5-day Park Hoppers that we will use Monday, January 14 through Friday, January 18.

IF both Fantasmic! and Paint the Night happen to be showing during this week (I fully realize this is a HUGE if, and we may not have any nighttime shows at all), I would like to do a dining package for one of these shows.

Which show should I dining package, and which show should we just show up to watch?

Fantasmic. No personal expirence but I asked the same question before. The consensus was it was fairly easy to find a place to watch pain the night.

Agree with Fantasmic, if you can’t get a World of Color package...hands down our favorite night show in DL

At this point if PTN is coming back it likely won't be until after food and wine.

I think it's reasonable to think PTN will be back at some point. The question is will Disney bring it back as soon as F/W is over or if they sit it out a while longer for a busier season.

This is a good point. I can see them bringing it back right away because it's such a draw, but I can also see them waiting because it saves money.

I wish it would be brought back before food and wine since I think based on last years dates we go right before food and wine. Wishful thinking but being from the East coast trying to catch that parade is a total pain

We did a World of Color package in 2017 and very much enjoyed the show, but we are thinking of trying something new (to us) for 2019. I will still watch WoC if it's going on, just won't do a package. (I wish multiple dining packages were in the schedule/budget!)

Considering they took the Paint the Night dining package pages off the website (the bookmarks and links all re-direct to the main dining page - maybe that is just a glitch, though?) I am thinking either the packages or the parade entirely won't be offered for a while. I'd love to see this parade, but have figured for a while that I'll miss it in 2019.

Still would pick Fantasmic Dining
but would also look at WOC Dessert Package.
